Method: a qualitative approach research of the convergent care type carried out with 14 people. Data collection took place through individual interviews, a checklist-type instrument based on Yalom’s Q-sort of therapeutic factors and participant observation. Data were subjected to thematic analysis and organized with the ATLAS.ti software. Results: During the meetings, both from the perspective of the coordinators and the group members, the same therapeutic factors were identified: instillation of hope, universality, information sharing, interpersonal learning, group cohesion, existential factors, altruism, development of socialization techniques and imitative behavior.
