Acesso em: 1 jul. 2025.e- 2447-9829https://repositorio.bc.ufg.br//handle/ri/28009The use of hydrogels is often suitable for arid regions and subject to drought periods as the Savannah, once the hydrogel has the ability to increase the water retention in the soil and provides it slowly to plants. The present study aims to evaluate the effect of hydrogel recovery planting area degraded by sand mining in the Cerrado biome. The experimental design was completely randomized, comprising 12 plots of 1,000 m² each. In half of the plot was applied treatment with hydrogel (400 mL), and the other half was used as control group. Seedling planting was carried out in the spacing 3 x 3 m and 11 species (Acacia tenuifolia, Ceiba speciosa; copaifera langsdorffii; cybistax antisyphilitica; Dalbergia miscolobium; Dipteryx alata; Tabebuia serratifolia; Inga laurina; Eugenia dysenterica; Sterculia striata, and Tabebuia roseoalba) . Species survival rates were evaluated, an increase in height and diameter increment in eight months and Principal Components Analysis (PCA) relating the survival and increments H and ACD to the treatment (with and without hydrogel) and 11 species. The largest increase in relative median CD was D. miscolobium in the control group, 142.9%. While, the lowest values for CD were the E. dysenterica, who obtained 0% in both the control group and the treatment. For H, the largest increase was that of A. tenuifolia (80.5%) in the control group, and the lowest 0%, presented by E. dysenterica in the treatment group and C. antisyphilitica and S. striata in control. For survival, except, E. dysenterica, D. miscolobium and C. antisyphilitica other species showed more than 81% survival. Eight months after planting, applying 400 mL of hydrated hydrogel was not enough to show significant effect on survival rates and growth in height and stem diameter in 11 native species planted in the sand exploration degraded area seedlings, the Cerrado.porAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Modelo nativas do biomaRecomposiçãoRecuperaçãoModel native biomeRecompositionRecoveryAbordagem multivariada do uso do hidrogel em espécies nativas do cerrado em área degradadaArtigo10.18677/TreeDimensional_2016_002
