The term has received several definitions in recent decades, and because it is a terminology used by scientists with diverse academic backgrounds such as: geographers, geologists, paleontologists, geomorphologists, turismologists, among others, finding a concept that fits in all these areas is not an easy task. The Geological Heritage is often referred to as Geoheritage, a more comprehensive term that is directly related to its subdivisions.
