    This thesis emphasizes the growing importance of science and technology in the contemporary world and the need for a more holistic and integrated approach to science education. It highlights scientific literacy as an essential element in empowering students to understand and interact with a technologically evolving world, fostering skills like critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity. The literature review discusses the diverse interpretation of scientific literacy and its significance in developing critical and active citizens. The proposed didactic sequence focuses on the study of electricity and magnetism, combining theory and practice to develop a thorough understanding of these phenomena and their practical applications.
