Item A influência e o poder da mídia na formação e personificação da opinião pública e política(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-08-29) Melo, Rogério Gonçalves de; Santos, Cleito Pereira dos; Santos, Cleito Pereira dos; Lameirão, Camila RomeroThis monograph aims to demonstrate, through bibliographical research, the influence of the media as mechanisms of social control, from a historical perspective based on the concepts of Theodor W. Adorno and Max Horkheimer and other authors, as well as the analysis of articles that focus on understanding this fact today. The influence of the media, manages to create a form of subjection and proliferation of a concept of subservience, which ends with the composition of a rational autocracy, transforming the individual into an instrument of propagation, where this power can control, disarticulate or dismantle systems, thus certifying that the role of the media not only establish behaviors or standards of values, but constructions of arrangements that exert influence, which moves the gears of human relations, changing their behavior in the face of decisions and definitions on aspects that corroborate for the development or delay of living in society.Item A integração de povos indígenas através de projetos de desenvolvimento comunitário: a política indigenista da FUNAI em finais dos anos de 1970 e início dos anos 1980(2021) Silva, Joana Aparecida FernandesHere, to this dossier, I present chapter IV from my master’s dissertation, Os Kaiowá e a ideologia dos projetos econômicos (Kaiowá and economical projects ideology); together with my advisor Mércio Pereira Gomes, we did an incursion to indigenous policy in the 80’s, whose emphasis was the integration of brazilian indigenous people into national market. Acculturation was the key concept through which such strategies were structured. Based on these considerations, I introduce a quick overview on current government indigenous policy.Item A representação feminina na política goiana nas eleições de 2018(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-08-24) Oliveira, Marianna Benjamin Cordeiro de; Lameirão, Camila Romero; Lameirão, Camila Romero; Assis, Mariana Prandini FragaThe present monography aims to contextualize the political history of the state of Goiás and its implications regarding the underrepresentation of women in the 2018 elections, the issue of gender isomerism concerning human rights and democratic quality. Starting from the idea that, despite the gender quota law for candidacies and incentives for female participation in political life, there are no significant numbers that affirm effective political parity in the state’s landscape. Through data analysis and arguments, we seek to contextualize the significance of the political history of the state of Goiás concerning gender equivalence in light of the laws governing women’s participation in electoral candidacies. However, despite the state’s political tradition, the collected data do not show a significant discrepancy compares to electoral data from other states in the federation.Item A “severa vigilancia para que a epidemia não attingisse aqueles infelizes”: notas sobre a gripe espanhola, os vicentinos e o Asilo São Vicente de Paulo na cidade de Goiás em 1919(2022) Souza, Rildo Bento deThe aim of this article is to analyze the Spanish Flu pandemic between 1918 and 1919 from the work developed by the São Vicente de Paulo Society in Goiás City. It is intended to understand how the Vincentians managed to rid the virus from São Vicente de Paulo Asylum, and also the work developed by this lay society during the outbreak, emphasizing the hygienic-sanitary character of these services.Item Adoção de crianças e adolescentes no Brasil: política pública entre a espera e a esperança(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-08-22) Soares, Lucas Miler de Araújo; Assis, Mariana Prandini Fraga; Assis, Mariana Prandini Fraga; Gonçalves, Eliane; Rocha, Frederico Henrique Galves Coelho daThis work consists of a bibliographic and documentary study, aiming to critically analyze the public policy of adoption of children and adolescents in force in Brazil. The analysis was based on books, scientific articles and statistical data made available by the Brazilian Judiciary (National Adoption System - SNA). As verified, there is currently a discrepancy between the number of children and adolescents available for adoption and the number of applicants qualified for adoption, this being almost eight times greater than that. It was observed that adoption in Brazil is permeated by stereotypes and prejudices that are present in the social imaginary. These are largely responsible for the hopelessness of more than 75% of children and adolescents living in shelters, who are not adopted and leave the institutions for a world without a family, while potential adopters wait for an imaginary child who meets ideal characteristics of race, age and ability. In addition, it was observed the existence of Adoption Support Groups that work to promote a new adoption culture and thus impact the implementation of this public policy.Item Afoxé axé omo odé: o "candomblé de rua" em Goiânia(2014-07) Ratts, Alecsandro José Prudêncio; Teixeira, José PauloIn this article we present the afoxé as cultural expression and spatial, the relations between the terreiro (Afro-Brazilian temple) and the city, and, finally, the link between some black cultures. This communication is the result of two complementary researches: one that focuses on the relationship between candomblé and public space, which in turn is part of the research project “Black trajectories and territorialities “. The afoxés are carnival groups, linked to Afro-Brazilian religions, particularly the candomblé, and exist throughout the national territory, with a concentration in the States of Bahia and Pernambuco. The Afoxé Axé Omo Odé, da cidade de Goiânia, State of Goiás, created in 1990 and reconstituted in 2008 seems to be related to a process of affirmation of these religions and other cultures black as capoeira and congada. In their routes the afoxé becomes a mobile territory and contributes to establish and consolidate “geo-symbols” in the city.Item A alienação como relação social(2012-12) Viana, Nildo SilvaThe word alienation has several meanings. The article seeks to recover the Marxist concept of alienation. From the contributions of Marx and other authors, the alienation is understood as being fundamentally a social relation of hetero, that is, it refers to a situation of control by another. Alienation, in turn, creates alienation, which is loss of possession or ownership, and fetishism (or estrangement). The key element to understand the alienation and its generalization is the concept of alienated labor. In capitalism, alienated labor takes specific form by capitalist commodity production through extraction of surplus value, which creates commodity fetishism and generalization of both in modern society.Item "Alto sertão veredas”: por entre trilhas indígenas(2015) Herbetta, Alexandre FerrazThe Kalankó indians live in the hinterland of Alagoas, Brazil, where they say that life is not easy. In this scenario, the music is a key code to survive. It is somehow a concrete way that promotes transformations. In this sense, it seems to be important for migration, i.e., geographic transformations, for healing, or the bodily modifi cations and political struggle, or social change. All these transformations leave traces - or lines - on the caatinga (Brazilian savannah). This paper seeks to explore the lines produced by the Kalankó movements, its forms and directionalities. So, through the lines, it tries to understand, then, the relationship between music and culture. In this sense, the analysis points to the translation character of this musicality.Item Amazon-Jap, uma ficção etnográfica(2015-08) Alvarez, Gabriel OmarItem American seeds of ABACC? Findley's proposal to create a mutual nuclear inspections system between Brazil and Argentina(2018) Patti, Carlo; Mallea, RodrigoAfter the first Indian peaceful nuclear explosion in 1974 international observers perceived Argentina and Brazil, long-time rivals in South America, as countries that could follow suit. Not only had they not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), they had also not joined the Tlatelolco Treaty: the Latin American and Caribbean nuclear-weapon-free zone. In this context, the US began to reassess and tighten its nonproliferation policy, particularly throughout the Jimmy Carter presidency (1977–1981). Carter's foreign policy sought to stall Argentine–Brazilian efforts to master the nuclear fuel cycle, as well as push them toward Tlatelolco. These efforts ultimately proved unsuccessful. However, after a visit to Argentina and Brazil, US congressman Paul Findley suggested in 1977 that they consider a bilateral agreement, whereby they would agree to mutual inspections and renounce the right to conduct peaceful nuclear explosions. Even though it was disregarded at the time, these are the core ideas behind the creation of the Brazilian–Argentine Agency for Accounting and Control of Nuclear Materials (ABACC) established in 1991. This article, then, seeks to fill the gaps in what today constitutes an unknown episode in the dense nuclear nonproliferation history of the 1970s.Item Análise da distribuição espaço-temporal das pastagens cultivadas no bioma cerrado entre 1970 e 2006(2013-06) Silva, Elaine Barbosa da; Ferreira Júnior, Laerte Guimarães; Anjos, Antônio Fernandes dos; Miziara, FaustoIn 2006, more than 34% of Cerrado biome was already converted to pastures, according to different spatial distribution patterns. This study aimed to ana-lyze the expansion of cultivated pastures and cattle ranching in the Cerrado, between 1970 and 2006, based on historical studies, IBGE census data, and satellite imagery. To this end, former municipality boundaries were recon-structed, in relation to which, census data was spatialized. It could be observed that the amount of cultivated pasture increased up to the early 80’s, when agri-culture started to take over and pastures to be more intensively utilized. It was also noticed that the pastures expanded in different ways, regarding specific biome locations, soil quality, existent infrastructure, and the proximity to con-sumption markets. In this paper, we also considered pasture degradation, re-garding both their spatial patterns and geographical associations. Amounting at least 7% of the entire cultivated pasturelands, degraded pastures represent a major social, economic and environmental challenge to the biome sustainable development.Item Arqueologia preventiva e o ensino de arqueologia no Brasil(2014-12) Zanettini, Paulo Eduardo; Wichers, Camila Azevedo de MoraesItem A arte de saber fazer grafismo nas bonecas Karajá(2012-12) Lima Filho, Manuel FerreiraThis article analyses the social representations of graphisms on Karajá dolls based on the idea that material culture is embedded in socio-ecological-territories contexts and interconnected to the dynamics of power involved within its production, meaning and circulation. The study is based on the data collected by a research group which informed the registry of “how to do” and “the expression forms” of the Ritxoko as Patrimônio Cultural Imaterial do Brasil. The graphisms drawing is a phase of the fabrication of ceramic dolls by women which articulates Karajá symbolic world as well as unveils a singular creative process coming up from external factors as the inter-ethnical contact. From this standpoint, the ceramists are classifi ed by the members of their group as “good ceramists” based on categories that merge art, gender relationships, traditional knowledge, creativity and prestige.Item Ativos ambientais do bioma cerrado: uma análise da cobertura vegetal nativa e sua relação com o preço da terra no estado Goiás(2009-04) Ferreira, Manuel Eduardo; Miziara, Fausto; Ferreira Júnior, Laerte Guimarães; Ribeiro, Francis Lee; Ferreira, Nilson Clementinothreatened biomes in the world regarding the biodiversity, with about 40% of its original area already converted. In fact, this region represents an important role in the national economy, largely due to the intensive agricultural production generated within its physiographic domains. In order to understand, even late, this biome with respect to its ecological and economic aspects, we propose in this paper to assess the eventual interdependence between economic valuation, through the categories of land prices, and the environmental asset native vegetation cover. In particular, we investigated the relationship between poverty intensity, land prices, and the remnant vegetation cover at municipality level for the state of Goiás (core Cerrado area). Among the main results, it was verified the existence of a subtle dependence between remnants vegetation cover and such land price categories, with emphasis to the High Support Pasture category (r2 of 0.30). In relation to the poverty intensity index (which directly influences the environment conservation), the results suggest an increasing trend between poverty and the Cerrado remnants (r2 of 0.38). Poverty also seems to be more preeminent in locations with lower land prices, especially in regions with availability of the Low Support Pastures category (r2 of 0.24).Item "Atomi proibiti", il tentativo brasiliano di cooperare con Giappone e Germania Occidentale nell'ambito dell'arricchimento dell'uranio (1967-1968)(2021) Patti, CarloDuring the 1960s, the gas centrifuge enrichment technique became pivotal in the production of nuclear energy. Brazil, a country with a nascent nuclear industry and with ambiguous ambitions, discussed with Japan and West Germany the acquisition of such technique. Relying on recently declassified primary sources, this study shows how those countries could easily circumvent the existing international limitations to the spread of sensitive technologies.Item Atores políticos, informação e democracia(2008-11) Bezerra, Heloisa DiasThe production and diffusion of political information must be included like priorities by political actors? Which are the advantages to democracy by active participation of the political institutions in the informational market? This paper presents some questions concerning the importance of the increase the flow of information from political actors to civil society.Item Biotecnologia e agricultura no Brasil contemporâneo(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2005-06) Martins, Lucinéia ScreminItem “Branco Sai, Preto Fica”: a crise da figura do mediador humano(2015) Hirano, Luis Felipe KojimaItem Brazil: a world energy superpower?(2015-12) Lucena, Andréa Freire; Santos, Murillo MachadoThe article discusses the measures taken by the Brazilian State to become a leading actor in the new global energy policy. Throughout the article we discuss whether the country has lost the opportunity to become a world energy power.Item Breve histórico dos cursos de ciências sociais da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG)(Aline Regina Alves Martins, 2014-12) Nazareno, Elias; Lima, RobertoBrie'y this article aims to present the history and development of Social Sciences undergraduate courses at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Brazil, from its creation to the present time. In order to write this paper, we interviewed professors of some long term career and also gathered reports and memories of others already retired who have dealt with the course of Social Sciences, as well as a documentary research.
