Item 1930: entre a memória e a história(Dulce Oliveira Amarante dos Santos, 2003-12) Sandes, Noé FreireThis essay seeks to analyse two historiographic books on 1930. The first is Barbosa Lima Sobrinho 's The truth on the Revolution of october; 24'h 1930 and the other is Boris Fausto 's! 930: history and historiography. Both narratives create differents pattems of hlstorical explication, so they keep a rich dialogue between memory and history as ways of historical consciencc.Item A "nova" escrita contemporânea de/para mulheres: relações de gênero, capitalismos afetivos e a literatura “chick-lit/soft porn”(2021) Soares, Ana Carolina Eiras CoelhoThis work is interested in investigating and identifying the logic of sensitivities and identifications that, to some extent, explain the success of the “chick-lit / soft porn” novels, which invaded the Brazilian publishing market from the end of the 20th century to the present day current. This literature, made by women and aimed at the target audience of female readers, flood the physical/ virtual shelves of bookstores with stories full of sexual and loving relationships, often described in profuse scenic details. This research uses the best-selling mercantile category to think of sales criteria above society’s regular reading averages. The focus of analysis was centered on the idea that such best-selling literature “chick-lit / soft porn” is a producer and reproducer of some speeches about the power relations between the genders and some forms of possible sexual experiences. Thus, the naturalized textual and symbolic representations of this literature nowadays incorporate an authorized source of consumption of narratives about eroticism, pleasure and love for women.Item A agência indígena em questão do Brasil colonial à queda do céu(2022) Nazareno, Elias; Coutinho, Higor FaleiroThis article draws a parallel between two historical processes: the Fair War declared by the Portuguese Crown against the Kayapó people at the south of Goiás captaincy (with the military assistance of the Bororo people, fighting for the colonial forces), between the 18th Century second half and 19th Century first decades; and the invasions of Yanomami lands by illegal miners, intensified from the mid-1970s onwards and especially violent in recent years. We present a reflection on the indigenous agency as the emancipation capacity of historically subordinated subjects. This concept of agency is based on decoloniality, a concept created by the Modernity/Coloniality group, which was formed by Latin American intellectuals who carried out an essential political/epistemological movement for the critical and utopian update of the social sciences in Latin America in the 21st century. We cautiously interpret/appropriate “agency,” a concept coined by the British sociologist Anthony Giddens in social, political, and cosmological contexts that are radically different from the indigenous conjunctures of both Colonial Brazil and the recent Amazonian reality.Item A concepção holística e processual de tempo de Norbert Elias(2021) Carvalho, Eugênio Rezende deThe German sociologist Norbert Elias (1897-1990) defined time as a social and relational symbol, belonging to a fifth symbolic dimension, the human experience or consciousness. This eliasian image of a five-dimensional Universe is based on the understanding of the interdependency and mutual overlap among the physical, biological, social, and individual levels of integration, without which, the enigma surrounding the concept of time would remain without a solution for this author. Thus, Elias proposed a procedural synthesis that connects as a unit the dichotomous pairs that traditionally – and still – permeate the philosophical approaches about time: subjective and objective time, time of nature and time of consciousness, physical and social time, phenomenological and cosmological time, etc. This article critically examines the foundations of the eliasian idea of time in its holistic and procedural approach, as well as some of the possible outcomes in the understanding of this concept by different areas of knowledge.Item A consciência histórica em narrativas de peregrinos: o Santuário de Santiago de Compostela e o Santuário do Divino Pai Eterno(2017) Silva, Maria da ConceiçãoThis research investigates some narratives of faithful, pilgrims from the sanc tuary of Santiago de Compostela and the sanctuary of the Divine Eternal Fa ther in Trindade. The theoretical approach that underpins this research unders tands the human dimension from the typologies of historical consciousness as a lack of orientation of life (RÜSEN). Temporalities, past, present and future perspectives, are categories for the meaning of what it is to be a faithful pil grim, who narrate common forms of devotion to Christianity. The experiences of this faithful pilgrim, whether male or female, represent the meaning of his lack of orientation given the human absences with losses as well as suffering.Item A covid-19 e os reflexos sociais do fechamento das escolas(2020) Sobrinho Júnior, João Ferreira; Moraes, Cristina de Cássia PereiraThis research aims to present social reflexes that were caused by the closure of schools due to the OVID-19 pandemic. To respond to such scenario, bibliographic and documentary research was available from newspapers, legislation and official documents, websites and scientific articles. As a result, potential impacts on students, teachers and parents are perceived, bearing in mind that problems arising from this closure such as: interruption of learning; school feeding; adaptation of teachers to the new technological reality; parents without preparation for activities in remote teaching and at home; challenge in improving and maintaining remote teaching; gaps in assistance to children; increased rate of school dropout; social isolation of children; and the challenges to validate and measure learning, tend to directly and indirectly affect these individuals, especially those living in situations of vulnerability and social injustice. This said, responses to such social reflections must come from the relationships that permeate the school student-family state, so that mutual support can provide the necessary support to deal with the consequences of school closures.Item A escrita culinária em Minas Gerais no século XIX: o caderno de receitas de Plautina Nunes Horta(2021) Magalhães, Sônia Maria deThis article analyzes the culinary recipe book of Mrs. Plautina Nunes Horta, who lives in the interior of Minas Gerais, which began to be written in 1896. It reveals the universe of a woman who achieved prominence in the social nucleus in which she lived through her homemade grocery stores. This type of domestic and private manuscript presents narratives of female personal experiences with no intention of publication, distinguishing itself by the free construction of the text and the absence of formal writing conventions. In this biographical act they endow the world around them with particular meanings, connected with their own lives, which in no way need to have any exceptional attribute to be worthy of being remembered.Item A estatuária funerária no Brasil: um olhar indagador sobre as imagens de Jesus Cristo nos cemitérios brasileiros(2017) Borges, Maria Elizia; Carneiro, MaristelaAbstract: This article intends to analyze the artistic depictions of Jesus Christ found in cemeteries of brazilian small towns and cities, discussing their role as a devotional iconography. Cemeteries are spaces of great artistic, symbolic and religious elaboration, capable of expressing a great deal about the societies that produced them. Our analysis consists of considerations about the configuration of secularized cemeteries in Brazil and a discussion on the thematic possibilities of images of Christ in the art world. From these considerations, we look upon devotional images of Christ in the cemeteries we researched, assessing how these approach traditional models of depictions of Christ.Item A filosofia da história de Oswald de Andrade(2017) Valle, Ulisses doItem A forma e a festa: homenagem a norberto Luiz Guarinello(2021) Gonçalves, Ana Teresa MarquesWith great pleasure, we honor the academic career of Professor Norberto Luiz Guarinello, after his retirement from teaching at the University of São Paulo. Having been our Doctoral advisor, we chose to make a brief statement of its importance in the course of our own academic career, as well as highlighting the publication of an article on the forms of History, with which we sometimes open our History course. Former, taught at the Federal University of Goiás, where we have been working for more than twenty-five years, as well as a chapter in the Proceedings of the Interna-tional Seminar “Party: Culture and Sociability in Portuguese America”, held at USP in 1999, which resulted in publication in two volumes of most of the communications presented there. Among them, we highlight the one carried out by Professor Norberto Guarinello, entitled “Party, Work and Daily Life”, which greatly helped us in our research on celebrations and ceremonies in the Ancient Roman WorldItem A heresia de Uriel da Costa (1585-1640) contra a comunidade judaica sefardita de Amsterdã(2017) Pinto, João Alberto da CostaI present in this paper an analytical description of the autobiography - Example of a Human Life (Exemplar Humanae Vitae), by Uriel da Costa, a Portuguese Marrano-Jew born in Porto who settled in Amsterdam in 1615, after fleeing the Holy Inquisition. Uriel da Costa wrote the work just before committing suicide (in 1640). In this book there is a description of his intellectual journey defined by his radical opposition to the political and religious practices of the Sephardic Jewish community from Amsterdam. Uriel da Costa’s autobiography is one of the greatest documents concerning the heretical uprisings in the 17th century. Based on the analysis of Uriel da Costa’s journey, in his ideological fight against the Sephardic rabbis, and of his suicide, motivated by his excommunications (Herem), I develop a brief historiographical note about an ideological practice of deistic naturalism that offered directives later disseminated within the European Enlightenment thought of the 18th century.Item A história de Goiás do setecentos na perspectiva de jogo educativo digital(2021) Sobrinho Júnior, João Ferreira; Moraes, Cristina de Cássia PereiraThe objective of this article is to present the use of ludic for teaching the history of Goiás, through an educational digital game. To respond to this panorama, documentary and bibliographic research was used for the survey, collection and analysis of data in a qualitative way. As a result, we propose a more attractive and enjoyable teaching through a more playful communication to the student. We conclude then, that teaching must be aligned to current times, and thus, the use of technologies by digital games is a reality. However, this should not be simply put in any way, but should be based on an adequate planning with the purpose of the appropriation of knowledge by the student. Item A imprudência da patrimonialização, ou da conveniência do patrimônio cultural(2022) Campos, Yussef Daibert Salomão deItem A intelectualidade telúrica de Ada Curado: uma grande escritora em Goiás no século XX(2020) Soares, Ana Carolina Eiras Coelho; Santos, Danielle Silva Moreira dosWomen like Ada Curado (1916-1999) have no space either in traditional historiography or in the literary canon, both essentially masculine. However, within the analytical perspectives of the history of gender relations and women, the possibility of understanding the trajectory of this exceptional woman in terms of political engagement and cultural production is revealed. There was a large support network among women writers and intellectuals in Goiás, expanding and encouraging their participation in public spaces. It was precisely in this context that Ada Curado has lived and produced diverse works, criticizing and presenting fundamental political, cultural and social observations, both regional and national. In the list of women intellectual artists who were part of history, Ada Curado, forgotten by history and literature, was a powerful voice in her time.Item A juventude dos imperadores romanos Caracala e Geta: questões políticas, familiares e numismáticas(2020) Gonçalves, Ana Teresa MarquesIn the Latin textual documents, produced in the 3rd and 4th centuries AD, we have little information about the youth of the sons and heirs of the Roman Emperor Lucius Septimius Severus with Julia Domna, Caracalla and Geta. They only became of interest to the authors when they ascended the imperial command in A.D. 211, after the death of their father, in Brittany, when they were respectively 23 and 22 years old. However, in order to promote family unity and the continuity of the Septimia gens in power, several coins were minted with the image of the heirs who were still very young and beardless. In this article, we seek to analyze the political use of family cohesion as a matrix of Severian governance, from the emission of messages via textual and numismatic supports, in which we identify representations of the still young Caracalla and Geta.Item A leitura gráfica da cidade: o Rio de Janeiro na street comics Zé Ninguém(2019) Gomes, Ivan LimaAfter leaving New York in 2001to adopt the city of Rio de Janeiro, Tito na Rua started to work with graffiti to print its brand as a new resident of the city. He created a street comics called Zé Ninguém, a comics narrative whose title character lives his adventures as he wanders through the walls and alleys of Rio de Janeiro. Through Zé Ninguém we intend to discuss the possibilities of interlocution between the technical and visual procedures typical of two graphic and urban arts such as comics and graffiti. The connections between urban art and apprehension of public space, reading of art in terms of reading the city and the creative solutions suggested by intermediality are main topics developed throughout the text, starting from a pers pective that historicizes the practices of looking and questions the role of the arts in the city experience.Item A lesbianidade nas telas brasileiras da transição democrática: o protagonismo de Amor maldito, de Adélia Sampaio(2016) Oliveira, Alcilene Cavalcante deIn the period of democratic transition, Brazilian lmmakers such as Vera Figueiredo, Ana Carolina and Tizuka Yamasaki – even without self nominate as feminists –, took to the screen questions of feminist ideas and the recent past of civil-military dictatorship. However, the theme lesbianism is marked by invisibility in the cinematography of the female authors of that period. This may be explained by the socially prevailing heteronormativity, including the feminisms – only recently problematized. The theme only gained relevance in the lm of Adelia Sampaio, an African descent documentarian, who made the rst full length ction – of female authors- about a romantic relationship between two women, called Amor maldito (1984). In this article – the key History, Gender and Cinema-, I analyse this lm, by questioning the characterization of lesbian characters – staged in this lm of democratic transition.Item A natureza estóica e a influência dos astros sobre a vida humana: Marco Manílio e a busca por uma simpatia universal (século I d.C.)(2018) Gonçalves, Ana Teresa Marques; Oliveira, Rodrigo Santos MonteiroA necessity in put in order the political-social space in the last years of roman Republic and beginning of Empire, with Octavius Augustus (first century a.C.), could be analyzed by todays historians with literary historical documents of this time. The new leader capacity was presented by many ways, and by different authors, because a consensus was neces sary for establish an end to Civil Wars. Thinking in that way, Manilius, with his didactic poetry Astronomicas, proposes a learning of astrological knowledge because he realized that this was the best path for anyone who desire understand the human action ordered by an cosmic creator force that is human itself. This understanding is possible for our author when associ ate with a specific philosophical knowledge: stoicism. For that reason, this present article shows this knowledge for we understand not only Manilius necessity in put time in order, but also teaching about the connection neces sary between man and nature (divine).Item A noção de fé verdadeira na obra poética de Prudêncio: uma análise do poema Apotheosis(2017) Gonçalves, Ana Teresa MarquesAt a time when one was seeking to consolidate Christian principles, prompting converts to have their own social practices, differentiated from those exercised by Gentiles, Prudentius offers a work called Apotheosis, in which he advocates a uniqueness of identity for Christians, which would make them identify the errors of beliefs indicated as heretical. Presenting poetically the major departures in faith, the author seeks to provide a notion of true faith in which converts could begin to develop the right paths for those who wished to follow Christianity and obtain an eternal life after death. It is a proselytising work, which sought to provide exercise canons for the Christian faith for those already converted and for Gentiles in the process of conversion.
