3x4: fotografia de prisão contemporânea e as representações do corpo encarcerado em duas prisões femininas de Moçambique

In this article, we discuss the representations of the imprisoned body in contemporary photography, seeking to understand how such representations have dialogued with current prison systems and thus yielded a series of discussions about authority and photography ethics. In dialogue with nineteenthcentury prison visuality and the concept of photographic performativity, and taking as starting point the “3x4” (a photographic project that took place in two Mozambican female prisons), we explore the interpretive possibilities offered by photography regarding the incarcerated body.
A integração entre arquitetura, permacultura e bioconstrução na construção de um futuro sustentável

This research explores the possibility of meeting human needs in harmony with the environment, using ancient construction techniques as contemporary approaches. Permaculture and bioconstruction are presented as distinctive and necessary ways to deal with spaces, promoting a healthier development in the relationship between humans and the environment. Faced with urban challenges, it is crucial for society to focus on education and seek solutions to problems such as housing deficit, unemployment, and environmental and social degradation. Permaculture emerges as a proposal that aims to reconcile the social, economic, and environmental spheres, transforming the city into a laboratory for sustainable initiatives. The objective is to conceptualize permaculture, Ecovillage communities, and their relationship with architecture. The methodology presents techniques and methods of bioconstruction, followed by the results of the ArqViva Project, an initiative based on the principles of permaculture, bioconstruction, and sustainability. Practices were carried out with the participation of collaborators, volunteers, and residents for the execution of the architectural project and the start of the construction of a daycare center in the urban occupation Alto da Boa Vista, in Aparecida de Goiânia - GO. The results highlight the importance of returning to vernacular practices as a sustainable alternative for construction and the benefits conferred to the community.
Os abolicionismos na cidade de Goiás: pluralidades e singularidades nos anos 1880

This article aims to give visibility to the specific and pluradidades of abolitionism in the city of Goiás in the nineteenth century through their experiences. Politicians, republicans, liberals, conservatives, freemasons, poets, women and slaves helped to build experience in abolitionist Goiás. Far from being a practice restricted to the parliamentary debates, the abolitionism were involved in social experiences. It is worth noting the presence of emancipatory Goiana Society, the newspaper “A Tribuna Livre” and “O Publicador Goyano”, of women and slaves, which marked the abolitionism activities in the City of Goiás.
Acessibilidade e indicadores de emprego, tempo e distância de viagens: uma análise da região metropolitana de Goiânia

In the Brazilian metropolis, the occurrence of constant commuting is a feature of great relevance, but also presents great challenges. For the public managers of each of the municipalities that are components of metropolitan areas, it has fundamental importan-ce to know the needs and availability of activities in the territory, as well as the profile of the displacements of their populations. With this, it becomes possible to develop diagnoses consistent with the reality of each municipality and also to understand the functioning of the metropolitan region as a whole. In view of such an approach and having the Metropolitan Region of Goiânia (RMG) as an object of study, this work is inserted with the objective of exploring the use of accessibility indicators as tools that help planning and urban management from a concentrated study in characteristics such as the time spent and the distance traveled in trips, as well as the offer of jobs in the several municipalities. Among the results obtained in this work is the identification of characteristics that indicate the lack of priority to public transport in relation to indi-vidual motorized modes, which aggravates the conditions of accessibility and urban mobility in metropolitan relations. In addition, there is a concentration of activities that causes a certain imbalance by contributing to saturation conditions in Goiânia (capital of the state of Goiás) while other municipalities present characteristics of a dormitory city.
Análise do processo criativo em quadrinhos poético-filosóficos: Antonio Amaral

In this article we present the artist Antonio Amaral from Piauí, Brazil, who has as highlight the production of poetic-philosophical comics genre - which are comics necessarily made to estimulate the readers to think, innovative and avant-garde in its form and content. The presupposed theorists seek to approach the criative process of the autor with the described by researchers artists such as Fayga Ostrower, Stephen Natchmanovitch, Rollo May and Cecília Salles. The comics of Amaral are highlighted, also, by its poetic force and hermetic expression, with influences of the expressionism and the abstractionism allied to somewhat dadaist texts.
Analysis of trip generating developments by space syntax: a case study of Brasília, Brazil

Este artigo visa analisar três Polos Geradores de Viagens (PGVs), inseridos em distintas centralidades no Plano Piloto de Brasília, por meio da Sintaxe Espacial. Objetiva-se verificar suas localizações quanto à hierarquia viária, ao potencial de fluxo de movimento (índices sintáticos) e ao volume de tráfego veicular (Volume Médio Diário – VMD), tendo em conta as vias de acesso aos empreendimentos. As centralidades encontradas por meio da aplicação do Método Delphi junto a especialistas serviram de subsídio para a seleção dos PGVs a serem utilizados em análises mais aprofundadas. Como achados, verificou-se que, segundo a Sintaxe Espacial, os PGVs ocupam posições relativamente estratégicas no sistema. Isso ratifica a importância do uso da abordagem como ferramenta de planejamento, podendo ser utilizada para complementar outras estratégias de análise. O fato de a Sintaxe Espacial apresentar o potencial de movimento em sincronia com o fluxo real em determinadas áreas de uma cidade demonstra sua relevância para auxiliar nas escolhas de localização para a implantação de PGVs, quer seja para aproveitar centralidades existentes, quer para impulsionar zonas ainda em fase de consolidação.

Arquitectura y olvido: el Jockey Club de Goiás de Paulo Mendes da Rocha

This paper presents the case of one of Paulo Mendes da Rocha’s works: the Jockey Club of Goiás, located in the interior of Brazil. The object is little explored in publications, lacking a deeper understanding for its material and immaterial values. The approach focuses on the building’s trajectory, contextualizing its design and construction, with a look at the appropriation of space, from the heyday to the decadence of this urban social and sporting equipment, with a view to its conservation and urban reintegration. The aim is to demonstrate its cultural significance, whether through urban scale strategic location, tectonic quality and environmental value. These attributes justify and enable its insertion in the 21s century city with the absorption of new uses related to its original vocation. The discussion opens the way for conservation practices of modern buildings in Brazil, beyond restoration.
Arquitetura da paisagem/paisagens de arquitetura: o caso recente de Barcelona

The trend identified on Barcelona’s public spaces built throughout the twentieth century latest decades reveals new strategies to both integrate green into the urban network and provide the city a new identity. In these places, the presence of green transcends its pictorial character in order to dialogue with other structural elements of open space, acquiring formal and functional renewed possibilities. These either small or medium interventions entangled with each other to develop along the city territory its urban interstices. Connected as fragments, they are like real parks extended in urban continuum.

This work investigates the North American artist Robert Smithson’s considerations on traditional expositive spaces: the museum and art gallery, as well as unusual and unexplored spaces by art up to that time. Looking through his texts we notice some enhanced perspectives and reset others, increasing limitation set on White Cube’s abstract and neutral quality and the substantiation on ideologies behind of these spaces manifestation.
Arquiteturas digitais a partir do diagrama de Voronoi e triangulação de Delaunay

Many models found in nature inspire several researchers, and may be appropriate forms, structures, parameters of uses applicable to engineering and architecture, mainly through computational instructions. Under these conditions, this article is related to the benefits derived from the techniques of the Delaunay Triangulation and the Voronoi Diagram. The methods adopted were: literature review on the main characteristics, information technology in the construction, structural systems. The objectives are: (1) to understand the main qualities that these techniques provide, by the extended patterns in nodes and segments, composite connections for pillars, space trusses, metal grids. (2) to present some examples constructed, capable of bringing relevant demonstrations; (3) to expose the expressive qualities derived from the techniques. These models are configured as computational strategies from stable and cohesive geometries, in consistent structural approaches.

Arte e ciência no século XIX: um estudo em torno da descoberta da fotografia no Brasil

This paper examines the relationship between ar! and science in the discovery of photography. It is about an original photographic process created by lhe Frenchman Hercule Florence in the 19th century Brazil, simultaneously and independently from other processes developed mostly in Europe. A detailed reconstruction of this process is reached by directly investigating his manuscripts and orher original documents of the period. Combining elements from the Mertonian theory of discovery and science studies, l argue that the local peripheral circumstances are embodied in the final form of Florence's process: a photographic process without a camera obscura.
Arte e ciência: identidades culturais

In the western world, knowledge has been modeled by the ‘culture of writing’ and the ‘culture of method’. These two cultures created resistance to the legitimation and development of the human sciences and, particularly, of the arts in the university. An analysis of these cultures, their process of development and influence on the organization of knowledge at the university are the focal points of this paper. The historical notion of ‘crisis’ as an identity crisis of science takes to a revision of concepts. The study discusses the notion of identity and how the two cultures marked, by difference and/or exclusion, the relations of power in science. Three concepts from the philosophy of science – capta, data and acta – are revisited and proposed as ways to reinvent art’s and science’s identities in the present context of the university culture.
Arte, educação contemporânea e cultura visual: diálogos convergentes na mediação online

This text presents possibilities appropriation and recogni tion of the digital environment as a privileged locus of experiences for the construction and sharing of learning outlined by art teaching and studies of Visual Culture, in online courses, within the scope of university research and extension, taught in the years 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2019. From the methodological point of view, this is a case study that is being developed from actions implemented by the Art Extension at School Program − Polo Goiás. In this process, we recognize the paths we have traveled and highlight three chal lenges that guide us towards the continuity and expansion of these actions: displacement, inclusion and belonging. Therefore, we find that it is possible a contemporary education to think and (re)create convergent pedagogical practices, with the pedagogical and inves tigative dimensions, for the construction of knowledge in teaching environments mediated by TICE.
Aspectos culturais do uso do desenho reproduzido no processo de alfabetização

In this article, the printed drawings¸ considered as visual media of communication, are discussed in the ways they take part of school, influencing the processes of teaching and learning, in order to analyze the cultural aspects concerned in its uses. The study is based on a qualitative research developed in the first year class of the school where the researcher studied. Her everyday work, the relations between her and the children, her initial formation, and the ways the printed drawings take part of all these processes constitutes the focus of discussion and analyses.
O audiovisual e as políticas de salvaguarda e de preservação da cultura popular

This article deals with the use of audiovisual products to subsidize cultural policies of safeguard and preservation of Brazilian cultural heritage. Two recent experiences are reported as they utilized the modern technologies of images in two performances of Boi Bumbá in the Brazilian center-west showing their impact and repercussions.
Avenida Vera Cruz: estudos de etnografia de rua em Goiânia

The Avenida Vera Cruz, one of the Jardim Guanabara structural routes, located in Goiania’s North Region, currently works reorganizing the flow of vehicles moving to Nerópolis, Anapolis and Brasília its characterized by a multiplicity of realities and services offered to the community. Due to the value of understanding the urban evolution process of the region in question, and specially of Vera Cruz Avenue, the article aims to analyze the changing uses that the street have suffered due its connection to the main highways, its impact in urban areas and in the public spaces appropriation by users, as well as the cultural practices presents in the site and its relation to the space construction and urban landscape.
Brasil, 1833: a descoberta da fotografia revisitada

This paper examines photography as a particular case of a multiple discovery. It concerns an original photographic process developed last century in Brazil, simultaneously and independently from other processes developed with the same aim mostly in Europe. A detailed reconstruction of this process created by the Frenchman Hercule Florence is performed by directly inves-tigating his manuscripts and other original documents of the period.
