Resumo
This research analyzes the intellectual production on Informational Behavior published in the Journal of Information Science. Were surveyed, 11 (eleven) articles of Information Science Magazine published on the topic: Informational behavior, from 2003 to 2012. That brings as questioning the theme: What are the characteristics of intellectual production (scientific papers) on information behavior published in journal of Information Science, in terms of the following: authors and their institutional links; theoretical models and identification of these authors? And through the data collected identified the authors and their institutional ties. So we have that are citadas10 (ten) universities, and of these 10 (ten) are public university and two (2) are private university. We also have two articles published by authors linked to other institutions (PAHO / WHO and DAAD). Still, in terms of geography, we have there is a concentration of authors and their institutional ties in the Southeast (FIO CRUZ; UFMG, PUC RIO; UNI RIO; UFV). In lower concentrations in terms of authors and institutional linkages have the southern region (PUC-RS) and the center west region represented by Brasilia (UNB; PAHO / WHO). From a review of the concepts that relate to information behavior, this study presents the most cited authors in the context of the analyzed articles. So we have to Brenda Dervin, Tom Wilson; Carol and Kuhlthau are the most cited authors.
