Resumo
Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the
effect of different interval between removal to hatchery and
lodgment of light and heavy chicks hatched from young
breeders on productive phase. The first experiment was
carried out complete randomized design in 3 x 2 x 3 factorial
arrangement (lodgment time x chick weight from breeder
with 32 weeks of age x sex), the second experiment was
carried out in a complete randomized design in 2 x 2 x 2
factorial arrangement (lodgment time x chick weight from
breeder with 37 weeks of age x sex). Loss weight and yolk
sac absorption increased on lodgment time increase.
Digestory organs were affected by time between removal to
hatchery and lodgment. Performance of light chicks
decreased as the interval increased between removal from
hatchery and lodgment. Light chicks were worst performance
than heavier.
