    As condições socioeconômicas e sua relação com o sucesso no vestibular: evidências a partir do processo seletivo da Universidade Federal de Goiás

    This study aims to identify the socioeconomic factors associated with the of success in the entrance exam in the state of Goiás. For this we used regression models for survival data and techniques of multivariate statistics. The results suggest that the effect of economic dimensions such as parental education, the school of origin and are not material well-being more relevant to the regression model when incorporated features such as marital status and employment status.

    Análise da sobrevida de mulheres diagnosticadas com câncer de mama triplo negativo utilizando modelo de longa duração

    Breast cancer is one of the main causes of death for women worldwide, in Brazil the reality is no different. In this context, the work aims to estimate the proportion of women who susvive for a long-term after being diagnosed with breast cancer, using a cure fraction model. The proposed methodology was applied to a data set of a study carried out at A. C. Cmargo Cancer center, São Paulo, Brazil, from 2001 to 2013 with women diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, who underwent neoadjutment to the data, which allowed us to observe that women who had an e arly diagnosis have a greater probability of surviving for a long period of time, thus indicating the need to expand the screening and early diagnosis of breast cancer.

    A generalization of the car versus billy-goat problem

    This paper is a generalization of the famous and counter intuitive problem of car versus billy-goat, known as the Monty Hall problem. With the hypothesis that the number of cars plus the number of billy-goats is equal to the number of doors, and the TV host may open more than one door, we prove that the best strategy is always to switch the door. To obtain the analytical results we use only simple calculations of probability. We also did some numerical simulations that illustrate the obtained results. The programming code is included in the paper.

    On spherically symmetric Douglas metrics with vanishing S-curvature with explicit examples

    We obtain the differential equations that characterize the spherically symmetric Douglas metrics with vanishing S- curvature. We study these equations and obtain conditions on such metrics. Many explicit examples are included.

    Circuncentros das órbitas triangulares de um bilhar elíptico

In this work we obtain the explicit equation of this set and also ot is shown that this ellipse is similar tothe inner confocal ellipse of the poncelet pair. This work was inspired by the paper of O. Romaskevich, [11]

    Laguerre type surfaces

    In this work we introduce the Laguerre type surfaces, this class of surfaces contains the minimal surfaces, another class of these surfaces are the Weingarten surfaces of Laguerre type. We show that all graph- type harmonic surfaces are Laguerre type surfaces. As an application we classify the graph-type harmonic surfaces that are Weingarten surfaces of Laguerre type and also we classify the graph-type harmonic surfaces that are helicoidal. We present families of cyclic graph-type harmonic surfaces type with the planes of the foliation parallel. Finally, we give a classification of translation surfaces of Laguerre type.

    Educação matemática e jogos digitais de entretenimento com estudantes da educação básica

    This article reports the partial results of a research carried out in an extension project entitled: “@PED: Pedagogical Actions in Digital Environments”. This project is focused on the study of digital entertainment games for the treatment of basic mathematics content. The article briefly discusses the concept of network society (CASTELLS, 2002) and the need for mathematical education to incorporate new languages (LOPES et al., 2013). It also concisely presents the theoretical foundation that supports the pedagogical experience: Vergnaud (1991; 2013), Vygotsky (2009), Vila and Callejo (2006), among others. The research carried out in the heart of the project aims to answer the question: is the proposal for mathematical education from digital games offered by the @PED Project well accepted by the participants? The methodology used is critical communicative, with the analysis of four questionnaires carried out with the participants in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The data collected revealed high rates of acceptance of the project. The results of the research indicate that combining digital entertainment games with the teaching of mathematics constitutes a path well accepted by students and very promising, in particular, regarding their interest and involvement in activities associated with mathematical learning.

    A história da Matemática nos cursos de licenciatura - o caso das instituições públicas de Goiás

    It is believed that the knowledge of the History of Science, including Mathema tics, is of great value for the teaching and learning processes, as well as for the formation of future teachers. Therefore, the objective was to analyze the characteristics of the discipline History of Mathematics in the curriculum of the undergraduate courses in Mathematics in operation, in 2019, in the public institutions of education of Goiás. For this purpose, a do cumentary research was conducted, based on educational legislation and official documents of the 14 courses subject to this investigation. To substantiate the analysis of documentary data, a bibliographic research was conducted, based on authors who discuss history and history of mathematics. As a result, this study showed that, in most courses, the disci pline in question is allocated in the first periods, without requiring prerequisites, with very large contents and insufficient workload. This leads to the need to discuss the format of the discipline in the courses analyzed, as well as its real contribution to the formation of teachers. Keyword

    K-isothermic hypersurfaces

    We consider n dimensional hypersurfaces in the Euclidean space and introduce the k-isothermic hypersurfaces, with k < n, as hypersurfaces that locally admit orthogonal parametrization by curvature lines with k distinct coefficients of the first fundamental form. It easy to check that the transformations: isometries, dilations and invertions, preserve k-isothermic hypersurfaces. We prove that there are no k-isothermic hypersurface of dimension n with distinct principal curvatures for n ≥ k + 3. We introduced two ways to generate a (k + 1)-isothermic hypersurface from a k-isothermic hypersurfaces, which we will call 2-reducible. Moreover, we provide a local characterization of Dupin 2-isothermic hypersurfaces and include explicit examples of 2-irreducible Dupin 2-isothermic hypersurfaces.

    Hypersurfaces with radial mean curvature in space forms

    In this paper, we study two classes of hypersurfaces, namely, the DRMChypersurfaces and the HDRMC-hypersurfaces in space forms M n+1(c), c = −1, 0, 1, these classes include the Weingarten hypersurfaces of the spherical type obtained in [10]. For n = 2, we present a way to obtain DRMC-surfaces and HDRMC-surfaces in M 3 (c) using two holomorphic functions. Also, we classify the DRMC-hypersurfaces of rotation in M n+1(c) and the HDRMC-hypersurfaces of rotation in R n+1 .

    A formação de professores e suas relações com cultura e sociedade: a educação escolar indígena no centro das atenções

    This paper reflects the current situation surrounding indigenous teacher education by means of the construction of a dialogue among three educators, two of them nonindigenous educators involved with indigenous school education and one indigenous educator committed to the education of his people. Teacher education, situated in a socio-cultural way, is the center of attention in this paper. “Listening” as a way of talking with the “other” is one of the theoretical focuses of this exercise between teacher educators and teachers, which uses dialogue as a means to increase awareness. In the dialogic process mentione, it was possible to realize how rich a dynamic between educators from different cultural contexts can be. The desire of the indigenous educator and his/ her people to contribute their ideas to the construction of the indigenous school became evident. This shows the great challenge for non-indigenous educators seeking to contribute to the organization of the school education of distinct indigenous nations.

    O Estádio Serra Dourada como espaço não formal de educação: possibilidades para o processo de ensino e aprendizagem

    The reflections and readings taken in the discipline of Mathematics and Sciences Education in non-formal places of the master's program in Education in Sciences and Mathematics of Universidade Federal de Goiás were motivating for conceiving the investigation about the non-formal education at the soccer stadium Serra Dourada, substanciating the working up of this article. It's purpose is to speculate about the variaty of educational activities that can be developed in a non-formal place. Proposes, also, to number and understand the potencials that the room mencioned can offer to the teachers on the construction of curriculars knowledges and non-curriculars. The material was colected by visits to the stadium, guied by an employee, that gave signifcant informations about the place, it's history and physical specificities. The investigation led to the perception of the stadium as a room of non-formal education rich in elements that can allow the teacher of Basics Education to develop interdisciplinarys activits, through themes derived from the stadium facilities. The results point that this place offers significant contributions to the teaching process and learning, engendering conditions and opportunities to cultivate problem-based practices, wich challenges the students and invite them to think, reflect and transforme the experienced reality.

    Quem foram os professores de matemática de nossos professores de matemática? Uma abordagem histórica sobre a formação de professores em Goiás

    The following paper focus on the constitution of the profile of the mathematics teachers in the state of Goiás. The focus of the discussion presented is the 20th century, with special attention to the period between the 1960s and 1980s. The sources adopted were interviews with teachers that taught between the 1940s and 1960s, documents surveyed in the school Lyceu de Goiânia and legislation related to teachers education. Authors such as Roger Chartier, Dominique Julia and Diana Vidal composed the theoreticalmethodological background. It is possible to notice a processual change in the mathematics teacher profile, but not complete ruptures, considering that nowadays multiple profiles coexist.

    Uma perspectiva histórico-cultural para o ensino de álgebra: o clube de matemática como espaço de aprendizagem

    The essential paper of algebra teaching in the children’s development is irrefutable. In line with that, this work discusses the algebraic learning in a learning space: the Mathematics Club. From the historicalcultural approach and the Activity Theory, the learning spaces are understood, as a place where individuals accomplish specific learning goals guided by intentional action for who teaches. A major finding of this study is that spaces such as the Mathematics Club are places capable to propitiate a significant learning activity in the field of mathematical knowledge. This work results of a didactic experiment with children at the “Application School” from College of Education at Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.

    In this paper we looked for reflecting on the mathematical theoretical thought development in students, taking into consideration a historical-cultural approach. With support on studies of Vigotski, Leontiev, Davídov and, more recently, Moura and Lanner de Moura, we discuss the relation between teaching, learning and the development of theoretical thought in Mathematics, having as basis the learning activity.

    A história, o lúdico e as atividades de ensino: reflexões sobre a formação inicial do professor de matemática

    This paper reports the experience of teaching performed during the supervised training from a degree course in Mathematics. The teaching experience was developed with students from the fifth year of elementary school, in a center of teaching and research linked to Universidade Federal de Goiás (Federal University of Goiás), UFG, and was based on the teaching of plane geometry. The objective of the pedagogical proposal was to relate the interest in cartoon, noticed during the class observation period, with the need to learn the geometrical knowledge. In order to do it, we created a story called "A LENDA DE NARUPRISMATO" (The legend of Naruprismato), based on the development of guidelines for teaching activities. In this story the students had the opportunity to experience an imaginary world, experiencing the challenges related to the characters, which were linked to mathematical concepts such as symmetry, angles and others. The main results are related to student learning in basic education, as well as the initial training of mathematics teachers. With regard to students, the study allowed an increase in the level of participation, that is, they felt motivated to learn. The story and the ludic activities as teaching proposal are resources that, together, allow a different mathematical approach, leading students to show interest in the content taught. Regarding training, the proposal development allowed us to develop the courage and the selfconfidence to propose new ways of teaching, awakening a particular interest in the early years, which for many aspects we now consider the real basis of human development.

    O estágio supervisionado na formação do professor de Matemática: refletindo sobre as experiências

    This work constitutes the report on the experience of organizing the supervised internship the degree course in mathematics developed in the Instituto de Matemática of Universidade Federal de Goiás (IME/UFG). Since the enactment of a series of legal guidelines by the National Council of Education, teacher education is to be understood as an ongoing process that involves both the development of identity of the teacher as their professionalism. In this process of teacher education, one of the curricular elements that arises as essential is the internship, which happens to be designed as a field of knowledge, supplanting the traditional reductionism to which he was subjected. Given these new demands, the IME/UFG reworked the supervised internship´s organization. The development of this proposed organization of internships has been providing our community of preservice teachers the opportunity to put yourself in the movement of reflection about the teaching.
