Resumo
The conceptions of teachers about the nature of science can significantly influence the form of
teaching and decide questions in classroom. From this perspective, this work seeks to relate the experience of the Chemistry Institute/UFG’s centre of research in Science Teaching
(NUPEC) in initial and continuing formation of the science’s teacher. We studied discursive
interactions in a discussion about the nature of science. These meetings were recorded in
audio and video, transcribed and analyzed following a bakhtinian perspective. The results
show assimilation of some aspects of scientific thought and of the relation between science
and education. In addition, they reveal social structures (patterns of interaction) that evolve a
non linear form and can have macro and microdimensional implications.
