Efeito de indutores de resistência sobre Meloidogyne incognita em cana-de-açúcar (Saccharum spp.)

Resumo

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of inducers of resistance on Meloidogyne incognita population density in sugarcane seedlings (Saccharum spp.). Two experiments were conducted under greenhouse conditions in a completely randomized design with five replications. In the first experiment, with ten treatments, different potential inducers were applied on the seedlings of sugarcane variety RB867515. Data of fresh weight of sugarcane roots and of nematode reproduction factor (RF) were recorded and compared. No statistical differences were recorded among the treatments in relation to the untreated control but it was noticed that: i) cadusafos was the most efficient on the reduction of M. incognita population; ii) potassium phosphite applied on the roots reduced the nematode population; iii) the mixture abamectin + acibenzolar-S-methyl allowed the population to increase when compared with the untreated control. The second experiment was designed in a 6 x 2 factorial scheme with six sugarcane varieties combined or not with acibenzolar-S-methyl application. There was a significant effect amongst the varieties, but no differences were detected from the application of acibenzolar-S-methyl with regard to nematode population density or reproduction factor.
