Resumo
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of natural and chemical products on Pratylenchus spp. and
Meloidogyne javanica populations in sugarcane (Saccharum sp.), variety RB835486. The experiment was carried
out in comercial field of Goias state, Brasil. The experimental design was randomized blocks in a factorial scheme
5 x 2, in split plot, with five replications. The treatments evaluated were: control, abamectin 0.5 L ha -1 , abamectin
1.0 L ha -1 , neem oil 2 L ha -1 , aldicarb 150 G 12 kg ha -1 , all of them with and without filter cake (30 t ha -1 ). Nematode
populations were evaluated at two, four, six and eight months after planting. Biometrics and technological traits
were also evaluated. Aldicarb was efficient on the control of Pratylenchus spp. and M. javanica showing effect until
four months after application in the planting furrow. However, when applied in association with filter cake its
efficiency was reduced. Use of abamectin and neem oil did not show any nematicide effect. The filter cake did not
show consistent effect as nematicide, but increased the number of shootings.
