Resumo
This article seeks to explore three satírica! pocms (cantigas) ofXlllth and XIV centurics on catastrophic signals of thc end of thc world. Thcse lay compositions reveal imagcs from thc Christian religious imaginary on the apocalyptical signals which preceed the Final Judgement. Two imagcs are recurrent: thc world up sidc down and thc coming oft'he Antichrist. Joan Soárez Coelho, Martim Moya (or Moxa) e Pedro, Conde de Barcelos, are the sclcctcd noble poets ofthese songs. Thesc works show thc use ofboth cultural european topai and iberic cultural situations.
