Resumo
This is an analysis of the scientific production on quality of life of
the elderly in which approaches, journals, the type of studies and the categories
of professionals who published from 1998 to 2008 are listed. This is
a descriptive, exploratory review of the Quality of Life of the Elderly. The
data were collected from the Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde – BVS between
1998 and 2008 from the following key words: quality of life, elderly, assessment
scales of quality of life and health. 175 related articles were found. 49
articles were analyzed and the scientific production enabled the realization
that life satisfaction was the main focus of the articles found on Quality of
Life of the Elderly.
