Ascaris lumbricoides nas vias biliares - relato de caso

Resumo

The ascariasis is one of the most cosmopolitan and frequent of the human helminthiasis. In the majority of the cases, the infection is mild and benign clinically, although one can account for one serious obstructive accident. Even though it is rarely, it is known that they have a tendency to invade the holes along the bowel, such as the duodenal papillae, causing obstruction of Wirsung and leading to acute pancreatitis, among other pathologies. We report a case of Ascaris in the gallbladder diagnosed by ultrasound.
