Panorama da produção científica brasileira quanto à inserção de idosos em práticas da Educação Física entre os anos de 2015 e 2020

In this research, we sought to answer how the theme of the insertion of elderly people in Physical Education practices has been contextualized in the area's productions that are conveyed through scientific articles. If between the years of 2015 and 2020 changes have been pointed out, have they left/left the paper? This work aims to map the scientific articles published in the main national journals and identify the authors, the journals in which they were published, the incidence of productions based on geographic location and years of publication, their research objects and goals. The methodology applied in this research is of a mixed nature (quali-quanti), and the investigation is guided by the review of textual materials (bibliographic research) and descriptive presentation of the information collected in scientific articles mapped in the electronic library Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). A total of 50 articles were cataloged, which present the pertinent questions regarding the insertion of the elderly in Physical Education practices. Considering all articles, 45 authors involved in the development of research and publications were identified. As for geographic distribution, they were more frequent in the Southeast and South regions of Brazil, with a total of 22 articles cataloged. Furthermore, it was possible to correlate the themes and information that the articles bring based on the emphasis that is given to the need for the elderly to be involved in bodily practices, physical activities and/or practice physical exercise regularly and maintain an active life. For a better understanding, an exposition of the theme was held, where it was possible to make the division into 7 thematic categories, namely: Motor Performance; Cognitive Performance; Falls; Depression; Chronic Diseases (non-communicable); Quality of life; and Health Promotion. The results show that programs that seek the insertion of the elderly, in various scenarios of social life, are increasingly important to encourage practices in/in Physical Education, healthy habits and socialization. The adoption of these measures corresponds to ways of preventing illness and exclusion of this population, as well as being positive for health professionals to gain prominence, especially Physical Education teachers, and that the need for greater investments in these programs is recognized. attention to the elderly and in basic training, specializations and qualifications of the professionals who will accompany them. It is concluded that this study can contribute to the presentation of research objects and themes, carried out in the last 6 six years, which combine the category of elderly people with their inclusion in Physical Education activities, seeking to better elucidate this theme and becoming a great instrument to guide Physical Education professionals and researchers, who work with the elderly public, regarding research that can be accessed and that will help them pedagogically.
