Work as a psychic function is linked to the constitution of human identity and subjectivity. The teaching profession has been a frequent object of study in the most diverse fields, however there is a gap on the teachers of the state public network in Goiás and the look that this professional elaborates on himself, as well as the relationships established at work, especially in the moment of social instability triggered by the pandemic. In this context, this study analyzed work-related damage, pleasure and suffering in the work of public school teachers in Goiás, seeking to understand how this professional observes and calls himself in the midst of his work, his beliefs, opinions and feelings about pleasure and suffering at work. This work is descriptive-exploratory, with a quantitative and qualitative approach and uses the framework of the psychodynamics of work and the application of the two scales that build the Work Inventory and Risks of Illness (ITRA) that enabled the evaluation and discussion about the influence of the organization and dynamics of work and the risks to the health of teachers and times of pandemics and constant changes in rhythms and work relationships. The results presented in this study reveal important aspects about the relationship between the working conditions and the health of teachers in the state of Goiás, noting that the work process of the public network in Goiás, within the context studied, allows for an overload. An inadequate working conditions revealing, in a significant number of professionals, an evident risk of illness related to the labor process. The working conditions presented present an indication of a situation of precariousness and physical, social and emotional exhaustion of the professionals studied.
