Resumo
It aims to present the concepts of sustainable development
that can be worked in different types of libraries: school,
public, university and/or community. It is understood that
the library have to do a different services. It is sought,
through a brief bibliographic al research, to establish the
main concepts of sustainable development that can be
worked in the library. It is concluded that such an agenda
should be part of the daily life of the institution, be it in
Internet pages or social networks. Also important is the creation of media and data bases with accurate information
on such subject. Finally, the library is one of the main
institutions responsible for promoting actions in the
community for sustainable development.
