Resumo
The article points to the need for research related to the Top News newspaper, as part of Press
History in Goiás. The journal circulated between the late 1970s and the early 1980s and has no
analysis. The newspaper was an engaged, irreverent and critical, linked to the Goiás Journalists
Cooperative (Projornal) – another experience that has no historical record. In this paper, to contextualize
Top News, briefly show some experiences of alternative journalism during the military
regime in Brazil. In addition, the theoretical body to dialogue with authors of Cultural Studies
and the methodological instruments are based on bibliographic survey, documentary research
and online interview.
