Resumo
This monograph is intended to present a study on the dignity of fat people, within the scope
of the right to the city. It aims to demonstrate that institutionalized fat phobia denies basic
rights to the existence of these bodies, and that this causes several consequences for their
survival. Through post-contemporary analysis, and the subjectivity of personal and state
choices, and its possible questioning by the modus operandi of the state machine. Using
the dialectical historical materialist environment, literature review and analysis of laws to
promote the defended position. To denounce the state punishment on these groups, for the
non-accessibility of the existential minimum, without excusing themselves from their
obligations with the justification of lack of resources. The position defended by sick bodies
proves to be obsolete and dangerous for the maintenance of these people's lives. Such as
the presentation of Bills on the subject. Thus, to show that such bodies must be respected
in the environment in which they live, as the State guarantees their fundamental rights.
