Such applications often rely on a single multi-hop wireless communication infrastructure, where smart devices collaborate to send collected data over an Low-Power and Lossy Networks (LLNs) through routing. RPL has emerged to use in scenarios where the devices are limited resources (processing, memory and power) in which is a routing solution for IoT LLNs scenarios. Although, there are some related work proposing the use of multiple instances in RPL on the same IoT network, those work have strong limitations to support multiple applications sharing the same network resources. We can cite, for instance, the lack of flexibility and dynamics in management of multiple instances and service differentiation for applications. In this context, the goal of this work is to develop a solution called DYNASTI, combining some mechanisms which provides dynamicity and flexibility by managing multiple instances of RPL. The benefit is the routing can further optimize network performance for the traffic from multiple applications with different requirements that are using the same wireless network infrastructure. In addition to support for sporadic applications and their coexistence with regular applications, DYNASTI achieved results that demonstrated a significant improvement in reducing the number of control messages, which resulted in increased packet received, decreased end-to-end delay, reduction in energy consumption and a slight improvement in service differentiation across the network.Item Modelo de otimização multiobjetivo para roteamento em redes sem fio(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-09-01) Medeiros, Vinícius Nunes; Silvestre, Bruno Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9449437915418534; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6904676677900593; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; Silvestre, Bruno Oliveira; Soares, Telma Woerle de Lima; Cerqueira, Eduardo CoelhoOwing to the huge range of application scenarios for wireless networks, new prospects for the current and future applications of the Internet, making new communication paradigms such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G networks. Two important networks are included in this scenery: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) provide key devices for developing the IoT communication paradigm, such as the sensors used for collecting different kind of information, and the Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) that enable interoperability between heterogeneous network, covering large areas with at am low cost.Eeach one these networks have specific characteristics, for example, the WSN has serious restrictions (e.g. power consumption, low speed wireless links, interference) while the WMN offers high data rates through multiple radios and channels. In this context, it is necessary to find solutions that can ensure more efficient communication system based on the optimized utilization of the network resources. So it was created a multi-objective routing algorithm, called Routing-Aware of path Length, Link quality, and traffic Load (RALL). This seeks to strike a balance between three objectives: to minimize the network bottlenecks, to reduce path length, and to avoid links with low quality, for resolution the routing problem for WSN, Then the RALL approach was adapted to match the specialty of the WMN, entitled Routing Aware of path Length, Link quality, and traffic Load Weighted (RALLW). The results indicate that combining multiple objectives when performing routing can benefit networks performance. The RALL and RALLW results in a good performance with regard to the delivery rate, throughput, delay, and power consumption when compared to other approaches, however the RALLW approach did not significant differences when compared to the RALL.Item Explorando interações em redes sociais online, comunicação dispositivo-a-dispositivo e estratégias de cache para uso eficiente de recursos em redes celulares(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-11-09) Moraes, Fausto da Silva; Cardoso, Kleber Vieira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0268732896111424; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6904676677900593; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6904676677900593; Cardoso, Kleber Vieira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0268732896111424; Viana, Aline Carneiro; Oliveira Junior, Antônio Carlos deFor the future of cellular networks is estimated a significant increase in the number of connected devices and the bulk data traffic, especially video content. That poses as a challenge for the next generation network. With the rise of new communications paradigm, D2D communication emerge as potential approach for cellular network data offloading, especially when paired with caching solutions within the network. Also, the impact of viral videos could be mitigated by proactively caching the contents being shared on Online Social Networks (OSNs). This work presents a new approach to proactive content cache for D2D-enabled networks, that is aware of users social interaction on OSN’s. Our proposal consists in the combination of user mobile and social informations to find the best located device to cache a content being shared online. Results obtained through simulation show that the proposed approach can improve offload rate, reduce energy consumption and provide a faster content access when compared with other work in literature.Item Classificação de sentimentos em texto com definição de perfis de usuários móveis para redes de próxima geração(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-02-27) Morais, Leonardo Pereira de; Silva, Nádia Félix Felipe da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7864834001694765; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6904676677900593; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; Silva, Nádia Félix Felipe da; Rosa, Thierson Couto; Immich, Roger KreutzThe accelerated growth of applications and scenarios with different requirements and characteristics, has leveraged the demand for a mobile Internet service with better performance in the next generation of wireless and mobile networks (5G and 6G networks), at the same time that the network resources like spectrum does not increase in the same proportion. Therefore, achieving quality and good experience for users of futuristic mobile networks becomes a challenging task. Technologies of softwarization aim to flexible the wireless networks and transformed them into more versatile networks, helping to minimize the challenges of the next generations. The study of user behavior enables defining profiles of mobile users, allowing take full advantage the versatility for next generation wireless networks. The influence of feeling in the use of wireless and mobile networks is few investigated in definition of the profile of the mobile user. This work aims to define profiles of wireless users of the next generation using sentiment classification in texts from WhatsApp using deep neural networks and Lexicon approach for this task. Results presented in Lexicon of higher feelings as RNP in the task of classification of feelings in text, obtaining as accuracy values for positive and negative classes of 78% and 72%, respectively. As the result of the Association Rules for the first proposed scenario presents inconclusive results. In the second scenario, the results show a strong relationship between feeling and data consumption, a relationship present in 51.8% of users. Thus, to characterize a profile that has a tendency towards high data consumption with a positive feeling with a confidence of 83%.Item Secure D2Dcaching framework based on trust management and blockchain for mobile edge caching - a multi domain approach(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-08-18) Rocha, Acquila Santos; Pinheiro, Billy Anderson; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1882589984835011; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6904676677900593; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; Pinheiro, Billy Anderson; Cordeiro, Weverton Luis da Costa; Carvalho, Sérgio Teixeira deDevice–to-Device communication (D2D), combined with edge caching and mobile edge computing, is a promising approach that allows offloading data from the wireless mobile network. However, user security is still an open issue in D2D communication. Security vulnerabilities remain possible owing to easy, direct and spontaneous interactions between untrustworthy users and different degrees of mobility. This dissertation encompasses the designing of a multi-layer framework that combines diverse technologies inspired in blockchain to come up with a secure multi domain D2D caching framework. Regarding the intra-domain aspect we establish Secure D2D Caching framework inspired on trUst management and Blockchain (SeCDUB) to improve the security of D2D communication in video caching, through the combination of direct and indirect observations. In addition, blockchain concepts were adapted to the dynamic and restricted scenario of D2D networks to prevent data interception and alteration of indirect observations. This adaptation considered the development of a Clustering Approach (CA) that enables scalable and lightweight blockchain for D2D networks. Two different uncertainty mathematical models were used to infer direct and indirect trust values: Bayesian inference and the Theory Of Dempster Shafer (TDS) respectively. Regarding the inter-domain approach we developed Trust in Multiple Domains (TrustMD) framework. This approach combines edge trust storage with blockchain for distributed storage management in a multi layer architecture, designed to efficiently store trust control data in edge across different domains. Regarding the collected results, we performed simulations to test SecDUB’s intra-domain approach. The proposed clustering approach plays a key role to mitigate the SecDuB overhead as well as the consensus time. TrustMD results demonstrated a significant enhancement in goodput, reaching at best, 95% of the total network throughput, whicle SecDUB achieved approximately 80%. Even though there was a 7% increase in D2D overhead, TrustMD effectively keep control of latency levels, resulting in a slight decrease of 1.3 seconds. Hence, the achieved results indicates that TrustMD efficiently manages securitywithout compromising network performance reducing false negative rate up to 31% on the best case scenario. Actually, the combination of SecDUB and TrustMD offers a scalable and effective security solution that boosts network performance and ensures robust protection.Item Propostas de técnicas de coexistência entre LTE-U e Wi-Fi em 5GHz considerando diferentes modulações candidatas ao 5G(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-08-24) Rosa, Pedro Manoel Ribeiro; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6904676677900593; Borges, Vinicius da Cunha Martins; Rocha, Flávio Geraldo Coelho; Vieira, Flávio Henrique TelesThe growing demand for mobile LTE connections results in the saturation of the available spectrum, motivating operators to search new frequency spectra for secondary/occasional use. The 5GHz frequency is being aimed for this exploration because it is not licensed but also less used. However, IEEE 802.11a/n/ac Wi-Fi standards operate on that same frequency and are affected by this operation. This document presents the study of the impact of the simultaneous operation between LTE-U and Wi-Fi, applying the candidate 5G modulations (F-OFDM/UFMC/ FBMC) in LTE-U, as well as combining them with the coexistence technique ABS in order to evaluate the performance of LTE-U and Wi-Fi traffic, through the parameters of BER, PER, Throughput and BLER. In due course, two coexistence techniques were proposed, LAS and RABS, being applied to LTE-U modulations and traffic behavior was analyzed, both for nodes and for mobile users. Thus, the impact of candidate modulations on coexistence was identified, both for LTE-U and for Wi-Fi, as well as having the LAS and RABS techniques achieved better performance for Wi-Fi traffic, as well as providing balanced indexes for the LTE-U traffic.
