Item Variabilidade química dos óleos essenciais e do teor de fenóis em folhas e frutos da jabuticabeira (Myrciaria cauliflora)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2012-06-29) DUARTE, Alessandra Rodrigues; FERRI, Pedro Henrique; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2129799749473005Foliar contents of total phenols and tannins and the essential oil composition of Myrciaria cauliflora populations cultivated in six sampling sites have shown the presence of four clusters related to soil types and foliar nutrients. Cluster I included samples which originated from sandy soil (S1) with the highest and lowest percentages of γ-eudesmol (11.55%) and germacrene D (20.48%), respectively, as well as high total phenol (136.68 mg/g) and tannin (60.72 mg/g) contents. Cluster II, rich in elemol (4.61%), included all the samples cultivated from clay sand loam soils (S2, S3, and S6), whereas clay soils S4 (cluster III) and S5 (cluster IV) had the highest amounts of germacrene D (III: 27.20%; IV: 26.83%) and the lowest levels of elemol (2.12%; 2.55%), total phenols (79.69 and 111.77 mg/g), and tannins (34.04 and 44.51 mg/g). Canonical redundancy analysis (RDA) revealed the relationship between chemical balances in the soil and leaf nutrients in different clusters. Chemovariations may be environmentally determined. Additionally, essential oil chemical composition and phenolics (total phenols, tannins, anthocyanins), reducing sugar and fruit acidity contents of Myrciaria cauliflora were obtained from same cultivated populations. RDA and discriminant analyses revealed four clusters of samples based on contents of α-copaene, tannins, reducing sugar and fruit acidity as predictor variables. The total variation partition performed by partial RDAs showed a strong influence of edaphic factors on phenolics, reducing sugar and fruit acidity data set. However, the polymorphism of essential oils may be genetically determined. Spatial influence on chemovariations was significant for all constituents, but less pronounced for essential oil data.Item Estudo Fitoquímico das Folhas da Espécie Psychotria prunifolia (Kunth) Steyerm (Rubiaceae)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-07-31) FARIA, Emiret Otoni de; KATO, Lucilia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1362891438631386Psychotria prunifolia is a Rubiaceae family specimen found in the Goiás cerrado , which is a huge ecosystem in the Brazilian Mid-West Mainland. The NCI (National Cancer Institute) highly referred to Psychotria as a hot genera with a cytotoxic potential from its extracts and fractions. Several related chemical studies have mostly indicated findings of indole alkaloid, which are keys to various biological activities. Current ongoing studies are focusing on phytochemical investigation of P. prunifolia, and its cytotoxic, antibacterial, antioxidant, and antifungal findings from its leaves extracts and fractions. It was feasible to isolate four new indole-monoterpene alkaloids and estrictosamida upon fractioning the leaves gross extracts. Estrictosamida has been found in and isolated from other specimens from the same genera. Recently-found alkaloids have been named prunifolina, prunifoliona, EPP26.2 e EPP28.1. Indole-monoterpene alkaloid is of greater chemotaxonomic importance for the Rubiaceae family, and it may assist with better classifying heteropsychotria sub-genera specimens. In vitro analysis of four cultures of cellular kinds, (S-180- Mice Sarcoma, A549- Human-Lung Carcinoma, K562 Chronic Human Myeloid Leukemia e HFF- 1-Regular Human Cells fibroblasts), has demonstrated successful cytotoxic activity of the P. prunifolia specimen. As a result of the antibacterial analysis, the leaves extracts were deemed to be less active. Extracts of leaves have shown little efficacy with its antioxidant potential, and in vitro antifungal analysis has indicated mild or little response.Item CONSTITUINTES QUÍMICOS DO CAULE E RAÍZ DE Salacia elliptica (Mart.) Peyr(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-09-25) SILVA, Gilmar Aires da; LIÃO, Luciano Morais; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2647529909397336This work describes the study of the specie Salacia elliptica, a plant from Hippocrateaceae family, known as bacupari, saputá and other popular names. In folk medicine it has been used in fever, swelling, scarring of wounds, diabetes and other treatments. The families Hippocrateaceae and Celastraceae are morphologically very close. Some taxonomists have considered them as only one family, while others split them in two. The Hippocrateaceae family comprises around 30 genera, and Salacia and Hippocratea are the most important with 300 species. Celastraceae comprises about 55 genera and 850 species. In this work, S. elliptica was considered an Hippocrateaceae plant, and by phytochemical study we intend to contribute to the chemotaxonomy position of this family. The phytochemical study of stem and root led to the isolation of the quinonamethide triterpenes: maitenin, pristimerin and 30-hydroxy-friedelan-3-one. Their structures were elucidated by 1H and 13C NMR spectra. The bioassays carried out so far demonstrate the great potential of this specie
