Item A colonização militar no sertão de Amaro Leite: presídio de Santa Cruz, 1854-1864(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-05-08) Almeida, Maria Juliana de Freitas; Nazareno, Elias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1486334927436240; Nazareno, Elias; Almeida, Maria Regina Celestino de; Kodama, Kaori; Araújo, Ordália Cristina Gonçalves; Magalhães, Sônia Maria deThis thesis addresses the theme of the Military Colonization Project. The study of this project, implemented in several Brazilian provinces, including the province of Goiás, from the second half of the 19th century, aims to contribute to the historical knowledge of territorial and human conquest undertaken in Brazilian inland regions where colonization was incomplete or not yet established. The research focuses on the Santa Cruz Prison in the Sertão de Amaro Leite, with a timeframe that covers the years 1854 to 1864. This period encompasses the foundation of the prison until its transfer to the Jurupensen Port, on the banks of the Rio Vermelho, near the City of Goiás. The research aims to examine the Military Colonization Project, contextualizing its political and economic motivations, as well as analyzing its implementation in the province of Goiás, including the strategies and challenges faced. It seeks to investigate the social, political, and economic transformations resulting from the project's implementation in the Sertão de Amaro Leite region, considering its impact on the social structure and regional economy. The understanding of the relationships between the military settlers and the local population, especially the Indigenous peoples, as well as the analysis of the living conditions of the colonial prison's inhabitants, are also highlighted. The research addresses the emerging social dynamics and the strategies of coexistence and resistance adopted by the various groups involved, and the impacts of this territorial occupation policy on the Avá-Canoeiro Indigenous people, in the face of the changes caused by the colonization project. With this investigation, we hope to reflect on the history of Goiás from the perspective of the prison's inhabitants, who were both victims and protagonists of the historical scene. Our research adopted an approach that combines documentary analysis and literature review. The records were examined through quantitative analysis, including statistical data treatment. Simultaneously, we conducted a qualitative analysis aiming to understand the daily life of the colonizing institution through a process of reconstruction, representation, and comparison. The establishment of military prisons in the Sertão de Amaro Leite allowed the imperial government to have greater control over the region, as well as enabling the expansion of the non-Indigenous population in the area. The analysis of the Santa Cruz Prison reveals the multiple facets of the Military Colonization Project. While the imperial government achieved its objectives due to the increase in the non-Indigenous population and the implementation of roads and paths, the residents also experienced benefits such as strengthened security and stimulated trade. However, for the Indigenous peoples, especially the Avá-Canoeiro, the consequences were disastrous, resulting in drastic changes in their way of life and the loss of lives and territories. Through the study of the Santa Cruz Prison, we can understand the complexity and varied impacts of the military colonization project for Brazil. This deeper understanding not only enriches our knowledge of the past but also allows us to reflect on current issues related to colonization, Indigenous rights, and regional development.Item À deriva: temporalidades no repertório de Paulinho da Viola (1965-1996)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-04-26) Medeiros, Kenia Erica Gusmão; Teixeira, Rafael Saddi; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2919949012379731; Teixeira, Rafael Saddi; Bittencourt, Libertad Borges; Berbert Junior, Carlos Oiti; Mello, Maria Therezinha Ferraz Negrão de; Rosa, Robervaldo LinharesThis thesis aims to study the repertoire of the composer and singer Paulinho da Viola. Their songs are the chosen sources and are analyzed mainly in their discursive aspects and to some extent in their sonorous characteristics. The notions and perceptions of temporality present in their songs are discussed in these pages and related to their own creation and popularization as time measures. The historical context of his productions and the identitary senses of his verses are also appreciated in this work, as well as his understanding of samba and its transformations over time are also an important part of this text. The lyrics of Paulinho sing the psychological time of his characters promote their articulation with dimensions of the natural, social and historical times. Among the many metaphors that the artist uses is highlighted in this thesis that of water. In his work water acquires different senses and represents movements of life. Its correlated terms such as seas, rivers, boats and sailors, among others are elements that deepen the temporalities sung by Paulinho flowing in reflections on the drift that represents the existence.Item A descolonização da instrução pública latino-americana nos ensaios de José Carlos Mariátegui (1923-1928)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-12-19) Silva, Luan Frederico Paiva da; Nazareno, Elias; hhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1486334927436240; Nazareno, Elias; Capel, Heloísa Selma Fernandes; Araújo, Ordália Cristina GonçalvesThis research proposes to establish an intercultural dialogue with the ideas of the Peruvian José Carlos Mariátegui (1894-1930), an indigenist/socialist thinker who criticized the survival of the colony in the Peruvian Republic. Through the notions of “coloniality”, first developed by the Peruvian sociologist Aníbal Quijano (1928-2018), we analyze Mariategui’s essays on Public Instruction in Peru and Latin America, systematizing his anti-colonial critique of the way Education was thought. As a result of the analysis, we identified Mariátegui as one of the representatives of the approximation between indigenous and non-indigenous knowledge in Latin America, especially with regard to places of knowledge production, as the university itself proposes to be.Item A elaboração dos conceitos e teorias do subdesenvolvimento e desenvolvimento: a trajetória político-intelectual de Celso Furtado (1949 – 1964)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-09-11) Queiroz, Gabriel Cruz; Valle, Ulisses do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3163617104627072; Valle, Ulisses do; Cepêda, Vera Alves; Arrais, Cristiano Alencar PereiraThe objective of this dissertation is to establish a connection between the formation of concepts and theories of underdevelopment and development in the work of Celso Furtado, with his trajectory as a technical-academic and politician during the period between 1949 and 1964. The hypothesis I elaborate in text starts from the stratification of meanings of concepts in Furtado's works, explaining the adjustments that were incorporated into them during the period analyzed. Underdevelopment was a concept worked on by Celso throughout almost all of his production, and which, in addition to enabling an understanding of the history of Brazil’s economic formation, was used as an element of a political discourse that resulted in economic policies in a period of Brazilian history marked by the presence of developmentalist ideology in the national debate. Item A historiografia do Instituto Histórico e Geográfico Brasileiro no segundo reinado em revista (1839-1870)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-12-05) Teixeira, Cristhiano dos Santos; Arrais, Cristiano Pereira Alencar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0048549261262609; Arrais, Cristiano Pereira Alencar; Salomon, Marlon Jeizon; Mendes, Breno; Araújo, Karina Anhezini de; Bentivóglio, Julio CésarThis research on historiography in the “Magazine of the Brazilian Historical and Geographical Institute” (“Institutito Histórico e Geográfico Brasileiro”, IHGB) in the 19th century aimed to analyze from a time frame between 1839 and 1870 having as a problem the main characteristics about the formation of a national historical consciousness in the Brazil. It seeks to understand the values of the country's history, used by the Empire through its representatives-historians who sought to ensure for themselves the national values of this culture in the process of construction. This would be characterized in a way of making a national history, which would emerge with its concepts and conceptions the values of its political culture in the formation of scientific historical knowledge, which could ensure for its present and future a past built from a conception moral about Brazilians. The scientific values of this historical politics, linked to a conception of its political time, were conditioned to search for the moral roots of its culture. What we will notice here is that this knowledge designed the construction of a national identity for Brazil in the 19th century. Which was linked to a project that would seek to consolidate for the nation a historiographical tradition that was converted by the logic of national memory. This type of historiographic project was not limited to seeking to consolidate a tradition from a static past, immobilized by its own inefficiency, but, above all, sought to consolidate it in the sense of building a “live” tradition for its future.Item A invenção do futuro no cinema: representações de futuro nos filmes de Méliès, Lang e Menzies(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-05-11) Vidal, Juliana Barros Pettersen da Costa; Abdala Junior, Roberto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7014946989727038; Abdala Junior, Roberto; Trovão, Flávio Vilas Boas; Mendes, BrenoThis work proposes an analysis of three films with a futuristic theme dating from the beginning of the 20th century: Le voyage dans la Lune (1902) by Georges Méliès, Metropolis (1927) by Fritz Lang and Things to Come (1936) by Willian Cameron Menzies. The analysis has as a theoretical assumption the methodological possibility of transforming films into historical documents, as suggested and initiated by the third generation of the Annales School in the 1970s, following the singular acceleration process of time in modernity (Koselleck, 2006), so as to enable fiction to project futures which are different from the past, recognizing the typically modern structure of narrative present in cinema (CHARNEY and SCHWARTZ, 2004) and the characterization of cinematographic works as a historical artifact integrated into the historical culture of its time (RÜSEN). From these premises, the objective is to analyze, discuss and compare the first representations of future in Western cinema and propose a reflection on the possible relationship between the selected films and the collective expectation of future at the time of their realization. XIV)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-09-01) Gomes, Mayara Stephane; Souza, Armênia Maria de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9441339482614419; Souza, Armênia Maria de; Oliveira, Terezinha; Martines, Paulo RicardoDuring the XIV century, the agents of the realms and the Holy See, respectively intertwined to the Time and Spiritual spheres, were related in different ways as in diplomacy as in the core of theories about the current power in Christianity. Nonetheless, due to the fights around Pope John XXII (1318-1334) and the “Spiritual Issue”, it is possible to notice a conflictual picture between these institutions. In that way, our goal in this research is to investigate the origins of this clash of powers in the light of the philosopher William of Ockham (1285? -1347) according to the political-theological apparatus and nominalism designed in his works, analyzed here as primary sources, Third Part of the Dialogue, A Short Discourse on the Tyrannical Government, and Eight questions on the power of the pope written around 1304-41. Ockham discusses, in the political works, his disapproval on this clash know by historiography as the doctrine of plenitudo potestatis papalis (fullness of power for the papacy), which determined the will of the representants of the spiritual power, the Pope, to evoque on their own benefit the fullness of power over both authorities. For this purpose, we start from an hermeneutic analysis to demonstrate that the Venerabilis Inceptor makes a well-grounded critic especially regarding to freedom accordingly to philosophical, theological, political, and ethical foundations, named as Christian - evangelical freedom, fundamental theme used against the sayings of Pope John XXII.Item "O abysmo das suspeitas": as narrativas da Tragédia da Piedade (1909) e a construção do mito de Euclides da Cunha (1866- 1909)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-04-07) Daher, Anna Paula Teixeira; Capel, Heloisa Selma Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0202627724737454; Capel, Heloisa Selma Fernandes; Ramos, Rosângela Patriota; Costa, Rodrigo de Freitas; Silva, Ademir Luiz da; Soares, Ana Carolina Eiras CoelhoThe writer Euclides da Cunha was killed due to a series of events involving Dilermando de Assis, the lover of his wife, Ana Emília, whom he tried to kill to recover his honor, in circumstances that were narrated in different ways, from different memories and became known as the “Tragédia da Piedade”. From this event on, we begin to understand how his narrative and the memory disputes that rise from them contribute to erect Cunha´s image as an ideal of man and intellectual, a myth - and how these constructions come from historical circumstances and the reception of his life, death and work articulated with the performance and creation of traditions of the cultural institutions of which he was part. Being a part of this groups of intellectuals at the service of the same cause (the institution of the Republic as the oficial brazilian regimen and its solidification), is what will allow the space of the myth to Cunha. This work intends to understand how Cunha's mythification become possible due to his position in this institutions (alive and after death), not only from his place in the literary canon or only from the place of literary criticism. This is possible with the analysis of the construction of narratives that affirm his place as an honorable family man, a great intellectual, culminating in his personal mythification and the inscription of his name among the greats of the country. This is due not only to the quality of his work or the circumstances of his death, but also because his peers recognized him and defended him considering that, among them, the value of the cultural traditions they protected was already determined, in a context that they also helped to build – precisely that of the Republic, in a narrative over which they held control (of information, language, vocabulary) from the same sensibilities, the same worldviews.Item "O abysmo das suspeitas": as narrativas da Tragédia da piedade (1909) e a construção do mito de Euclides da Cunha (1866- 1909)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-04-07) Daher, Anna Paula Teixeira; Capel, Heloisa Selma Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0202627724737454; Capel, Heloisa Selma Fernandes; Ramos, Rosângela Patriota; Costa, Rodrigo de Freitas; Silva, Ademir Luiz da; Soares, Ana Carolina Eiras CoelhoThe writer Euclides da Cunha was killed due to a series of events involving Dilermando de Assis, the lover of his wife, Ana Emília, whom he tried to kill to recover his honor, in circumstances that were narrated in different ways, from different memories and became known as the “Tragédia da Piedade”. This research, entitled AGEPEL: Public Cultural Policies in the State of Goiás an intellectual in the government (1999- 2006), aims to understand and analyze the strategies adopted and the cultural programs implemented in the Government Marconi Perillo, for the culture of Goiás in the late 1990s and early 2000s, under the management of the historian Nasr Chaul, then chairman of the Agência Goiana de Cultura Pedro Ludovico Teixeira (AGEPEL). The concept of culture and other such as identity have been defined and linked to the objects analyzed in order to trace the profile of the management studied.Item Aimé Césaire: conexões transatlânticas, intelectualidade e críticas contra coloniais na obra O discurso sobre o colonialismo (1950)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-12-16) Melo, Marcos Rafael Andrade de; Nazareno, Elias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1486334927436240; Nazareno, Elias; Araújo, Alexandre Martins de; Barbosa, Muryatan SantanaThis research proposes a critical analysis of the transatlantic connections and countercolonial criticisms present in Aimé Césaire's “Discourse on Colonialism (1950)”. The source analyzed is a 1950 work in which the author presents a proposed counter-colonial narrative related to the process of French colonization and its contemporary implications, notably racism. Aimé Césaire was an intellectual man of letters who criticized the arguments of a large part of the Western intelligentsia. The research investigates the context of Martinique's colonization process, the locus of Césaire's enunciation, as well as exploring the biographical aspects that influenced his intellectual production. It explores the emergence of counter-hegemonic knowledges based on the experiences of colonized peoples, which challenge dominant historical narratives and open up space for indigenous criticism, black thought and decolonial and counter-colonial theories. A detailed analysis of Discourse on Colonialism shows the influence of Marxism on Césaire's critique, highlighting his denunciations of the contradictions of Western modernity and his role in deconstructing colonial narratives. The study also investigates the reception of the work in Brazil, highlighting how its anti-colonial legacy continues to inspire academic debates and struggles for social justice. Therefore, exploring the intersection between literature, politics and history, it reaffirms the importance of Aimé Césaire as a central figure for understanding and criticizing the colonial structures that shaped modernity.Item Além das nuvens e dos relógios: a ideia de ciência de David Bohm e de Ilya Prigogine(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-10-27) Carvalho, Rodrigo França; Carvalho, Eugênio Rezende de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6512128178979996; Carvalho, Eugênio Rezende de; Freire Júnior, Olival; Barrio, Juan Bernardino Marques; Salomon , Marlon Jeison; Berbert Júnior, Carlos OitiOur thesis consists in analyzing, based on theories of the American quantum physicist David Bohm (1917-1992) and the Russian physical chemist, naturalized Belgian, Ilya Prigogine (1917-2003), the science ideas of these two scientists, how they represent authentic scientific views, quite deviating from the prevailing view of science, and also how their concepts contribute to overcoming long dichotomies that have been present in the history of science since a long time, such as determinism-indeterminism antithesis. Through a critical biographical analysis, we present the main aspects of scientific research work of Bohm, his formulation of an alternative interpretation of quantum theory, which has ignited debates and controversies within the world of quanta, his several theoretical contributions, including the theory of plasma, the development of an innovative theory called implicit and explicit order and also his philosophical investigations. We also present and analyze the scientific way of Prigogine and his theoretical interest in non-equilibrium thermodynamics. We show the fundamentals of his theory of dissipative structures, his unique insight into the irreversible phenomena and the most significant implications of this new view of nature and science that led him to the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 1977. Although several important differences between theoretical perspectives and Bohm and Prigogine approach, we noted some similar points that were quite significant, as a concept of science radically different from the prevailing idealized view. Among these similarities we have the search for a unity between man and nature, the importance given to the conception of science without dissociating it from the deepest philosophical questions and the concern about establishing more fruitful dialogues among areas of knowledge.Item Alimentação monástica nos fins da Idade Média: o mosteiro de Santa Maria de Alcobaça (Portugal, séculos XV - XVI)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-04-20) Carrijo, Letícia Cardoso; Santos, Dulce Oliveira Amarante dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2317207486041256; Santos, Dulce Oliveira Amarante dos; Gonçalves, Ana Teresa Marques; França, Susani Silveira LemosCistercian Order, with food also being characterized from normative documents, such as expenses and forums, in addition to cookbooks and other Cistercian writings. The foundation and formation of the Alcobaça community, as well as the changes that took place at the end of the Middle Ages, mainly in the administration and way of life of the monastery, initially stand out as necessary information to characterize the practices of the monks residing in the monastery of Alcobaça. Knowing the spaces of the monastery, both internal and external, as well as the water resources are also important given the prominence of these places in the transformation, preparation and consumption of food. The first aspect analyzed is the natural and consumer aspects, based on the investigation of the availability of food in the kingdom of Portugal at the time. The Alcobacense table is analyzed, based on the quantity and quality of the food served, as well as the composition of the meals consumed. The behavior at the table, specific to the monastic group, where all gestures and silence are part of a ritual proper to men devoted to God, is highlighted as a factor of distinction in relation to other groups in society. The role of religious discourse in practices such as fasting and abstinence was also highlighted, in addition to charitable actions for donating food to the poor. Within the food exceptions, the Hippocratic-Galenic medical tradition gains space, when food is seen as a means of healing and disease prevention, bringing back balance to the sick and bleeding of the monastery.Item Americanismo e cinema hollywoodiano no filme A felicidade não se compra(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2018-09-06) Cardoso, Tatiana Cristina; Maciel, David; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3587511267893434; Maciel, David; Vilela, Ana Lúcia Oliveira; Gonçalves, Rodrigo Jurucê MattosThis research defends the idea that the social forces determined ideologically the cinematographic production of the United States of America, during the emergence of the cinema until the period of its consolidation, collaborating for the propagation of Americanism as a way of life. As a methodology, was used the film analysis of It’s a Wonderful Life (1946), to observe what kind of American way of life the cinema of classic narrative structure would be insert in its production, with the intention of spreading the american way of life without breaking the moral rules already established by the codes of censorship imposed at the time and that until now, in contemporary times, are in force. US culture, politics, and economics were discussed in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, periods selected for their relevance in the making of myths and turning points in American history; Americanism as a way of life; Fordism; and Hollywood cinema, for being the one of the pioneering mass media that collaborated with the forms of Americanization not only within the US but throughout the world.Item Uma análise da trajetória das artes de governar no pensamento de Michel Foucault(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-05-27) MENEZES, Leandro Alves Martins de; Salomon, Marlon Jeison; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0631789010231492This study aims to analyze the problems of life of the governments at the thought of Michel Foucault, between the years 1974 and 1979, especially around the invention, development and mapping of concepts and biopolitics anatomopolitics. For this, the development of our research starts from a careful analysis of the origins of life of the governments in association with the pastoral power with the birth and development of political economy. It is assumed in this sense, the attempt to introduce the reader to the historian Foucault. The urbanization and construction of architectural works are a way to trace how the various sectors of Anapolina society have made the city a space of ruptures and continuations of history, where the thought projects were materialized or not, according to the aspiration of a project modern and progress that the city sought, in this sense the optics of work focuses on urban history as a space for understanding the city as a living place, the forms and desires of the agents who lived there. The process of urban change in search of a modern city, involved several internal and external factors, which contributed to the understanding of the temporal experience of this society.Item Anarquismo e renovação da cultura: Max Nettlau e o projeto emancipatório na La Revista Blanca(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-10-03) Alves, Ricardo Lenard; Silva, Luiz Sérgio Duarte da; lattes.cnpq.br/4317054127961589; Silva, Luiz Sérgio Duarte da; Rago, Luzia Margareth; Oliveira, Emerson Divino Ribeiro de; Penna, Mariana Affonso; Valle, Ulisses doThis dissertation will analyze the emancipatory program of the Spanish periodical La Revista Blanca (1898/1905 – 1924/1936). The investigation of the emancipatory program in La Revista Blanca (LRB) will be realized by positivity by the “pratices of liberation and freedom” (FOUCAULT), with the aid of the archeological method. The emphasis of the analysis will be on Max Nettlau publication in LRB. The dissertation will be divided into three chapters: 1 – exposition of the history of anarchism of Nettlau; 2 – a brief analysis of each freedom and liberation practice presented by LRB; 3 – analysis of Nettlau practice of freedom and liberation. It was concluded that Nettlau produced a practice of freedom and liberation that he himself called anarchist eugenics, intended to conjure up any authoritarian manifestation in the liberation camp. Anarchist eugenics would be divided into two levels: 1 – criticism of the obstacles to freedom and; 2 – criticism of anarchism.
