Resumo

The present work consists in a speech analysis of the journalistic texts produced by the religious journalistic websites Gospel Mais and Gospel Prime, which build political news with a conservative Christian bias during the 2018 Brazilian elections. These portals are noteworthy for producing political news following “a Christian worldview” even if it is aimed only at the general evangelical public. The study sought to understand the textual processes necessary to produce political news about the 2018 elections under the bias of this “Christian worldview”. The textual analysis has as reference the method of Content Analysis by Bardin (2010) and with theoretical basis based on the concepts of power, field, habitus, domination and symbolic violence of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (1989; 2007; 2010). Considering the hybrid nature of the research object, which is supported in the areas of religion, media and politics, Bourdieu was chosen to assist in the understanding of how these journalistic portals cross the fields of religion, media and politics in the studied scenario, as well as, what is the christian worldview of politics defended in its editorials and how does it relate to the actuality of the fields reached.
