It aims to analyze the parameters of the arrangement of subject taxonomic labels in the main menu and navigation submenus of the Portal gov.br based on the guidelines and postulates related to the organization of information in the area of Information Science as a contribution to Public Communication and access information on the aforementioned website. Specifically, it aims to analyze how the information organization is; identify whether the form of organization of applied taxonomic labeling allows Public Communication; and verify the guidelines for organizing information with regard to taxonomic structures according to the mentioned areas of knowledge in the highlighted context. It constitutes a basic, exploratory and descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Uses bibliographic, documentary and case study procedures. The results raise six recommended parameters for creating a taxonomic labeling of subjects that are only partially applied, with two of these parameters being detrimental to users' navigation on the website.
