Comic books are highly popular and promote the democratization and accessibility of art. They manage to tackle a variety of topics in a simple and easily understandable way. In this context, we highlight the use of comics as a tool to positively represent the LGBTQIAPN+ community, contributing to the deconstruction of stereotypes and presenting diverse forms of identity and sexuality expressions. The need for representation of LGBTQIAPN+ individuals becomes more evident when we recognize the limited number of positive representations of this minority group, especially in schools. In these spaces, LGBTQIAPN+ themes, representations, and images are often denied and hidden to erase their existence and prevent young people from being "diverted" from a heteronormative standard. This erasure complicates the process of identification for LGBTQIAPN+ individuals, who lack a safe space for questions and doubts as well as positive references. However, schools do not have to be this way. A school that promotes inclusive education, respects cultural diversity, and establishes a culture of peace can significantly influence the construction of a fairer and more supportive society. In this context, the focus of this research is to represent LGBTQIAPN+ youth in comic books, aiming to facilitate their identification and support the construction of their identities. To achieve this, research methodologies in art and design methodologies applied to comic book creation will be used. The comic will feature a gay young man as the protagonist and will depict his experiences in a school environment, portraying both his joyful and challenging moments, including teasing, jokes, and bullying faced by LGBTQIAPN+ youth. Moreover, the narrative will highlight, through the characters' reactions, ways to defend against bullying and homophobia and demonstrate how to demand respect and appropriate actions from education professionals.Acesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Histórias em quadrinhosRepresentaçãoPoéticaEducaçãoLGBTQIAPN+ComicsRepresentationPoeticsEducationLINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::ARTES::ARTES PLASTICAS::DESENHOA representação do ensino de jovens LGBTQIAPN+ em histórias em quadrinhosThe representation of LGBTQIAPN+ teenagers in teaching comicsDissertação
