To carry out the acute toxicity it was used albino female mice (Mus musculus) that received a single oral dose of 300 mg/kg and 2000 mg/kg of the extract. As for the subchronic toxicity test were evaluated mice (Mus musculus) males and females that received the oral dose of 75 mg/kg, 150 mg/kg and 300 mg/kg of the extract daily for 28 days. To achieve the pharmacological tests, it was used a dose of 125 mg/kg, 250 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg orally in male mice.The animals showed some signs of neurotoxicity such as tremors, changes in the gait and convulsions.
