It works on three fields: the critique about the composer; the proposition of solutions to questions about his life and musical work; the establishment, through three of his songs, of a process of signification based on a semiotic line of reflection. The overall objective is to help the performer in the study of this repertoire. The conclusion of this work sees the songs of Hekel Tavares in conformity with the cultural hybridism theory.
