I met the spirit and medium Ana in an umbanda terreiro in Aparecida de Goiânia (GO) for many years. Working in the line of pombagira and exu, little by little Mestra Paulina began to "talk about herself", confiding that she was a jurema "master". This movement was the trigger for the research project and, by following it, it made it possible to learn about some of the "passages" made by Mestra Paulina. Like in umbanda, Calunga, jurema, pombagira and exu lines, as a mestra, between Goiás and Pernambuco. The field research took place walking with the spirit and paying attention to "speaking of oneself". Between visits to my home and to the Association, the place where she began to give consultations. The work is guided by the questioning of the possibility of talking about and getting to know the lives of spirits in a way that is more than just narratives about the past. It aims to shift from a device known as biography to an ethnographic theory of the life of the spirit in which "life" is freed from an anthropocentric, biological and chronological predicate of time as an arrow. In order to present an ethnographic theory of the life of spirits, the thesis is based on three main movements: the "passages", the "dar nome" and the "correr gira”. They describe variations of Mestra Paulina, relationships, ways of working, compositions, agency out by an extensive and vital capacity of the spirit.They make it possible to describe the life of the spirit as grounded in work-care, in doing, always on the move.The work briefly reflects the participation of dreams and drawings in the research, in order to "continue with the problem", thus contributing to the openings and unquiets provoked by the experience of living and walking with a spirit.La thèse propose une théorie ethnographique sur la vie des esprits, en se concentrant sur ceux qui ont choisi de travailler et de s'en occuper, sur la base d'une rencontre avec Mestra Paulina qui souhaitait "donner son nom et son chemin". J'ai rencontré l'esprit et le médium Ana dans un terreiro umbanda à Aparecida de Goiânia (GO) depuis de nombreuses années. Travaillant dans la lignée de la pombagira et de l'exu, Mestra Paulina a peu à peu commencé à "parler d'elle" en confiant qu'elle était un "maître" jurema. Ce mouvement a été le déclencheur du projet de recherche, et son suivi a permis de connaître certains des "passages" effectués par Mestra Paulina. Comme dans les lignes d'umbanda, de Calunga, de jurema, de pombagira et d'exu, en tant que mestra, entre Goiás et Pernambuco. La recherche sur le terrain s'est déroulée en marchant avec l'esprit et en prêtant attention au "parler de soi". Entre les visites à mon domicile et à l'Association, où elle a commencé les services. Le travail est guidé par le questionnement sur la possibilité de parler et d'apprendre à connaître la vie des esprits d'une manière qui dépasse les simples récits du passé. Il vise à passer d'un dispositif connu sous le nom de biographie à une théorie ethnographique de la vie de l'esprit dans laquelle la "vie" est libérée d'un prédicat anthropocentrique, biologique et chronologique du temps comme une flèche. Ils décrivent des variations de Mestra Paulina, des relations, des façons de travailler, des compositions, organisées par une capacité vitale et élargie de l'esprit. Ils permettent de décrire la vie de l'esprit comme étant ancrée dans le travail-soin, dans l'action, toujours en mouvement.
