O jardim etnobotânico medicinal como possibilidade de entrelaçamentos na paisagem de Goiás

Abstract

This proposal investigates how landscapes welcome or suppress ancestral knowledge of certain groups with a special interest in phytotherapy, knowledge about medicinal plants, as an important tool of political, socio- environmental and cultural resistance of the native peoples of the land. In this context, the study of ethnobo- tany seeks to understand the subjective relationship of individuals with the dynamic landscape, in order to document cultural traditions and their own dynamics. Thus, the garden is understood as a space designed and produced from an “ecology of knowledge”, in constant construction and resignification, thus promoting environmental and sociocultural awareness of the decolonial landscape. In this way, with the exchange of knowledge between researcher and local subjects regarding the use of medicinal plants, a medicinal ethnobotanical garden is proposed in Casa Coralinas, headquarters of the association of artisans from Goiás, Mulheres Coralinas. This garden called Jardim da Memória (Garden of Memory) is built from the reminis- cences of the old Garden of Transfiguration, trying to understand the different dimensions of healing lands- capes, in the case of the city of Goiás. With the garden for public use resulting from the intertwining of kno- wledge, subjects and landscapes, dialogue and interaction between scientific knowledge, or not, are sought to contribute to the preservation of the environmental and cultural diversity of the Cerrado, strengthening the subject/plants/knowledge, discussing different notions of health, right to landscape and biodiversity.
