"O Mundão Sem Porteira": tópicos da representação de Goiás na narrativa de Bernardo Élis - derivações do Cerrado

Abstract

Bernardo Élis's narrative is one of the greatest sources of reading in Goiás. Originating from a regionalist tradition, but with its own timbre, his work, in the form of stories, poetry and novels, situated historically and spatially, entangles the dramatic problems of the country person of Goiás. With the objective of interpreting points of the representation of Goiás in detail in the way the work narrates this inhospitable territory, or the “big world without farm gate”, this work stems from an arc of dialogues constituted in the dynamic activism promoted by Instituto Cultural e Educacional Bernardo Élis para os Povos do Cerrado (ICEBE). A problem mobilizes reflection: how does Bernardian fiction contribute to reading Goiás?
