Abstract

The present study aims to bring to light about the geographer, professor and researcher Maria Augusta Mundim Vargas and her main discussions within Geography. For its elaboration was used her production, academic performance and lattes, as well as the experience and sharing of the authors about some geographical practices with Mundim Vargas. This study is a simple tribute for her that is part of the Postgraduate Program in Geography of the Federal University of Sergipe and a thought about the Geography, her trajectory and advances.El presente artículo tiene por objetivo dar a conocer a la geógrafa, profesora, investigadora María Augusta Mundim Vargas y sus principales discusiones dentro de la Geografía. Para su elaboración se recurrió a su producción científica, actuación académica y a su currículo Lattes, además de vivencias compartidas con las autoras en algunas prácticas geográficas. Este artículo rinde un sencillo homenaje a Mundim Vargas, integrante del Programa de Posgrado en Geografía de la Universidad Federal de Sergipe, y una reflexión sobre Geografía, su trayectoria y avances.
