Resumo
Research with endophytic microorganisms producing different metabolites, such as
hydrolytic enzymes, is increasingly present, which has great applicability in industrial
processes, due to its wide variety of structure and applications, high specificity,
stability, low impact on the environment, possibility large-scale production in a short
period of time and at low cost. The present study aimed to isolate endophytic bacteria from Tridax procumbens (L.) and to evaluate the production of hydrolytic
enzymes produced by these bacteria. A total of eight endophytic bacteria, from different parts of the plant, were selected and analyzed for their ability to synthesize
the enzymes amylase, β-glucosidase, cellulase, endoglucanase, esterase,
exoglucanase, lipase, pectinase, protease and xylanase, using culture specific solids
for the production of each enzyme. Of the eight isolated bacteria, all showed
pectinolytic and proteolytic activity, 87.5% β-glucosidase and cellulolytic activity
(sugar cane), 75% endoglucanase and exoglucanase activity, 62.5% xylanase
activity, 50% amylolytic activity, 37.5% cellulolytic (bamboo) and sterasic activity,
none showed lipase activity. In conclusion, the isolates show potential as producers
of hydrolytic enzymes of industrial interest.
