Resumo
The present work aims to understand the features and uses of the Google Citation by researchers in the areas of bibliometrics and scientometrics in global scope. By Identifying the potential of the use of the tool for the construction and analysis of bibliometric indicators and cientometricos. There is a brief review of literature contextualizing research, addressing key concepts. Its methodology is descriptive quantitative, bringing a sample of researchers of Scopus with profile registered on Google Scholar Citatins. In the results, always comparing the two databases/tools were created charts and tables describing each one. Highlighting the number of publications, citations and index h between the databases/tools. Pointing out that the Google Scholar indexes more work that the Scopus.
