Silêncio e censura: a biblioteca da Universidade de Brasília nos anos de chumbo da ditadura militar

Abstract

This work is about the influence of the military dictatorship in Brazil for the library activities in the library of UnB, with emphasis in the years of lead (1968 – 1974), where censorship and repression had been lived in greater intensity. The research was guided through interviews with librarians of the university at that time, recovering their memories on the censures that occurred and other situations leveraged by the interference of the seizure of power by the military. The proposal was necessary in order to understand what the marks left in education were, passing the library and, without pretention, identify these tracks in the current educational model. For completion purposes, it was presented an analysis of exposed speeches and critical marks of the gains and losses of the UnB library in the searched phase.
