Comportamento das infecções helmínticas e dos pesos médios em 4 grupos de bovinos, segundo 3 esquemas de vermifugação

Abstract

Helminthic infect:ons behavior and mean weigth fluctuations in a three anthclminthic assays with two half breed zebu x holland calves. Thirty two half breed zebu x holland calves, age between four and six months, were gathered in four lots with eight calves each. Three lots (or groups) were treated with ívermectin, in a dose of 200 ug/kg/. and one lot was look a testimony, accordingly lhe tbllowmg strategy: Group l - strategic treatment in lhe months: June, September and December; Group II - October and April (tradicionally); Group JII - April, August and December (coincidem with vaccination against aphtous fever); Group IV - contrd. The experiment shjwed that: 1 - The faeces eximined (OPG) reveil a discret infection by hclminths but only the group l was a sgnificant (strategic treatment); 2 - No significam úferences between the gained mean weigths of the four groups detected. The species of lematodes and theirs respectives countings were: Haemoncus spp, 2090; H. ontortus, 1410; Haemoncus similis, 506; Cooperia spp, 1030; C" punctata, 450; Oesophagostomum radiatum, 4, and Bunostomum ihlehotomum, 1.
