Resumo
L/f mice infected with l O" viable L forms of Paracoccidioides
brasiliensis strain 18 were injected endovenously with 0.5 ml of IgM or IgG
obtained from non-immune or immune H/f mice, until the 28th day of infection
(7th, 14th, 21st and 28th day). Animais were sacrificed 35 days after infection
and thin slices of lung and liver were collected and routinely processed for
hístopathology. Passive transfer of IgM to L/f infected mice had no effects:
however, the passive transfer of IgG containing specific antibodíes, to L/f
infected mice, reduced the number of granulomas and the amount of fungi
inside the m.
