Ciclo evolutivo de triatoma delpontei Romaña & Abalos, 1947 (hemiptera, reduviidae)

Abstract

The evolutive cycle of Triatoma delpontei was studied in order to obtain a larger aumbcr of triatomine reared in laboratory to use in experimental lests Chagas1 disease. The mean incubation period was of 29,6 ± 0,3 days. The mean duration of the evolutive cycle was of 219,8 ± 5,1 days. The experiment was performed in climatized chamber at 25 ± 0,1°C, 70 ± 5% of relalive humidity and photoperiod of 12 hours.
