Resumo
The effect of in vitro Albendazol was evaluated against Lminor eggs culture.
Approximately 15x103 eggs from recent collect cat faeces excperimentally infected With L.minor were placed in Petri dish with 400 mg of Albendazol atroom temperature
for 45 days. The same procedure was performed for the embryonated eggs. Control
groups for both experimental groups were placed in formaldehide solution at 1% at
room parasitological evaluation, a sample of the four groups were examided by
vitropressure using normal light microscopy.
Larval formation was not observed, only blastomere, in the group composed
by recently eliminated eggs. For the group containing embryonic eggs the larvae stages
stayed alive. In conclusion, Albendazol hás effect anti-embryogenic but not larvicidal
action.
