Indústria de leite em Goiás - 1993

Resumo

This study was devclped in arder to 1) identify thc number of stablishments and companies in daiiy business which were fedral inspection and working in the Stateof Goias; 2) discover the distribution according to the capacit of the installation of the stablishment and dairies within the counties aand micro-regions; 3) indentify the main products ofthe dairies during the years 1991 and 1992. The results showed that: a) up until june 1993 there were 89 dairies funtioning under federal inspection wich were the woners of 229 stablishmentsproducin milk and daiiy products wich of the 86 were processing plants and 120 were refrigration posts; b) the 7 largest companies were owners of 53,3% of ali stablishments and controlled6 l,6% of li installed capacit; cO the Meia-ponte micro-region, the main milk producer in the state, had the largest number ofstablishments and dairies; d) the big companies weere located around the state following a regional preference, with most of the 5 largest companies (by groups of micr-regions) limiting themselves almost exclusively to one micro-region; e) the main products were powdered milk and cheese wich represented respectively 40,6% and 33,0% ofthe type C raw milk received by dairies in 1992.
