Resumo
Continuing the study of the green areas of the Campus II of the Federal University of Goiás it was developed a research in arder to check the situation of the arborization at Campus. The sites of the present study consisted of spaces among buildings, streets, places, parking places anda little wood. A scale of: 1 :500 was used to localize them in an aerophotogramatic plant. The plants were located and identificd. The native species are remainders ofthe semideciduous forest occurring in the locality, e. g. Apuleia molaris Sprnce (garapa), Anadenanthera peregrina L. (angico), Cedrela Jissi/is V eJ. (cedro) and T abebuia serratifolia (VahJ.) Nichols. (jpê amarelo) and many other species. Spathodea campanuiata Beauv. (espatódea), Deionix regia Rafin (flamboyant), Pachira aquática Aublet. (munguba), Caesalpinia echinata Lam. (pau-brasil) and Syagrus oleracea (Mart.) Becc. (guariroba) are some ofthe exotic species from other states and from the flora ofGoias.The totality of 1389 individuals were distributed among 43 families and 84 genera.The study showed that some species have not been planted in adequate Jocalities because ofthe hight tonnage, root system and falling ofthe leaves.This investigation will perrnit an amplification, improvement ofthe arborization and recomposition of the green areas of Campus II. lt will also contribute to future landscaping projects.
