Resumo
Under the sponsorship of the military state, the construction of
roads, of great farming projects and the use of tax incentives for
the occupation of the free spaces had generated intensive privatization of lands not titleholders and great demographic alteration
and constitution of rural settlements. After that, already in the
decade of 1990, the development of tourism was directed for the
rural regions, provoking the sprouting of no-agricultural activities.
Also in the decade of 1990, it was instituted, with resources of the
federal government, the school transport of the rural regions for
the hosts of the municipal district. They are constitutive factors
of the diversiÀcation of life and work types of rural populations,
substituting the homogeneous agricultural rural one, that is treated
in this article as rural things, term which indicates different ways of
identiÀcation with the rural world, even in urban realities. The aim
is to propose that the researches about education are based on this
perspective with several menaings of comprehension of the rural,
because of the diversity of identities constitution of their citizens
all over the country.
