Resumo
The greenhouse study was carried out at Escola de
Agronomia e Engenharia de Alimentos – Universidade Federal de
Goiás, Brazil, to evaluate increasing levels of soil liming on
Heterodera glycines population developing on soybean roots.
The full dose of liming was determined in order to increase the
base saturation up to 50%. The treatments were: control (no
liming), half dose (0.675 t.ha-1), full dose (1.35 t.ha-1), double
dose (2.7 t.ha-1), and triple dose (4.05 t.ha-1). The experimental
design was completely randomized with five treatments and six
replications. Each pot was planted with the cultivar FT-Cristalina
and inoculated with 4,000 eggs. The number of H. glycines females
on soybean roots, and cysts/100 cm3 were evaluated. The number
of females was reduced as liming doses increased up to 3.03 t.ha-1,
showing quadratic response. The number of cysts reduced linearly
as liming doses were reduced.
