Resumo
The heroines built by Ovid, in his work Epistu-
lae Heroidum, experience extreme loves, which lead them to
think of death as an escape from the sufferings they face in the
absence of their loved ones. Many of the characters represen-
ted by Ovid promise to commit suicide if they can not bring
back the missing heroes. In this article, we aimed to analyze
how love and death are part of the thought expressed in the
Ovidian Heroides parties.
