Resumo
This paper deals with the presentation and analysis of
autobiographical piece entitled Apuntamientos para las memórias sobre Colombia y la
Nueva Granada, which is incorporated to the publication Memorias del General
Santander. This publication has two autobiographical pieces, one written in 1829
and another in 1837. In this article, I will focus only the writing of 1837,
however, it will be compared with the narrative of 1829 when necessary. My
main intention is to examine the means by which a community is built among
the independentist generals - so the relationship between Francisco de Paula
Santander and Simon Bolivar substantiate the analysis.
