Abstract

This research identifies changes and continuities in the practice of women faith healers in “Goias” from his contact with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Religiosity, notably the Catholic exerts its importance in the shaping of culture. Assimilation is not unilateral because popular culture has an active attitude towards remaking and reinterpreting practices of the Catholic Church.
