Caracteres agronômicos e nutricionais de genótipos de milho doce

Resumo

The cultivation of the sweet corn can be an alternative to the farmers of the country, mainly for the closest to the processing industries. Exists programs of genetic improvement that they look for new you cultivate of sweet corn with industrial characteristics adapted to certain edafic and climatic conditions. Ally to that, it can be wanted cultivate with larger tenors of iron, zinc and pro-vitamin. Before of those aspects and of the alimentary importance of the sweet corn, the present work had as objective evaluates the productivity of ears of corn with straws, industrial income and variability of the tenors of minerals in the green grains of genotypes of sweet corn and to indicate possible materials with larger tenors in her mineralogical composition, in Goiânia, GO. The research was developed in Laboratory of Analyses of Soils and Leaves (LASF) of in Escola de Agronomia e Engenharia de Alimentos (EA / UFG) - Universidade Federal de Goiás, in Goiânia, Brazil. The experimental phase was developed in a loamy Dark Red Latosol. Twenty two genotypes of sweet corn were used, planted using a randomized complete block design, with four replications. They were appraised the productivity of ears of corn, the percentage of industrial income, height of plants, height of ears of corn, prolificacy and the concentrations of Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn e Mn, in spectrometer of atomic absorption. The differences found for the productivity, industrial income, height of plants, height of ears of corn and prolificacy, allow to the election of superior genotypes for the improvement of the sweet corn. The biggest productivities and industrial income had been gotten in hybrid combinations Tropical x AF 429, SWB551 x AF427, DO - 04 x AF427, the Tropical x DO - 04 and DO - 04 x HS2 2104. The concentrations of Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu and Zn in the grains had not different between the materials. Combinations AF427 x AF429 and Tropical x AF427 had presented greater manganese in the grain and can be used in improvement programs.
