Resumo
The modernization of the agriculture in the Catalão area, southerm Goiás, happes in lhe decade of 1980 with the advance of the culture of soja, in lhe expansion process of the capitalism in the country.
The caracteristic of the process is the incorporation of new areas to the intensive productive activities with use of advanced technology, sistematic occupation of the hole propriety area and the use of specialized prefessionals.
This modernization is possible because of the great financial investiment associated with the know-how of the undertakers natural from southern Brazil,
