Influência da válvula bloqueadora de ar instalada após o hidrômetro

Resumo

In recent years, there has been an increase in search of equipment that promise to reduce the water consumption through there move of air into the pipes, preventing it from be in measured as water. Thus, this work aims to verify the efficiency of a air blocking equipment to the supply situation of the city under study. By laboratory tests with different flow rates and pressures and field checks in two buildings, we found that in most cases, air blockers do not interfere in the performance of the water meter and that any reduction in consumption may be due to the loss of load on the system, generated by the equipment and not for control of the air into the pipes.
